If you were half a millionaire
Make a list of things you would do if you were given $500,000 (tax free)
People often cite money, mostly the lack of it, that keeps them from attaining their goals and dreams. Today, half a mil is not an amount that would allow you to quit your day job but it's enough of a downpayment to overcome a lot of obstacles. List the ways you would use it.
We always hear that "if you just work hard enough you can acheive anything" but as we all know, a substantial amount of seed money can make really make things grow. I'm curious as to how peope who already work as hard as they can would progress if they had a large amount of money pop into their lives.

Well---living in NZ is cool---
but----Travel is the first thing on most kiwis minds---and that is what we would be spending up on---
A SMALL TOWN tour of the countries we haven't been to yet----starting in the USA if we can get our visas and travel across country east to west---THEN IRELAND!!!
that's where our roots are---then England, Europe and finish off back in Australia
no harm in dreaming-----might do it anyway lol

Travel would be cool, but in my case it would be to look for the ultimate place to retire at. Visit some IAC friends along the way, party a little........... do some live colabs.

After using over HALF of the 500 thousand dollars, to take care of my family; I'd invest in my music/art/film projects, and THOSE of my children, and MOVE to England.
And -- With ALL that I could do with a sugar daddy gift of 1/2 a million, I'd be able to MAKE fuckin' money, with my art.
THEN I could give away a cool million or more myself, to help enrich this fuckin' poverty stricken world.
THERE. That's what I'd do.

Half a million dollars - that's £315516.78. Not too shabby a sum.
I would pay off my debts and spend the rest on unnecessary fripperies.

Oh there is a LOT of stuff I woulda coulda shoulda use 500,000 sawbucks for.
Mostly I would secure my living environment - Right now I live in a double wide mobile home. It is falling to shit- I would buy a newer coach, one of those new ones that have Chimneys.
You'd think that a 20' by 40' trailer would be big enough for one person to live in... But it is not! Even the Mice re round-shouldered!
I live in the living room, because it is a nice square room, I can keep it cool in summer when it is 105 outside. My TV is also a monitor is a DVD player is a High-Def media player, cos I've downloaded Hi Def movies onto my PC, and I get ever piece of resolution.
Then I turn to the side, and I have a pro tools workstation, and then further to the right is all my mixing equipment.
Behind me is a cool Lazyboy chair, which is very comfortable to sleep in, and I have a couch along the back wall.
If I had that much, I'd certainly buy a new Home, and I'd soundproof the living room, and move all my recording gear into there.
I REALLY do not need a lot of space to live...
So, give me that 500,000 and I'd get a new unit in one of those parks that are 50 and up.
But even with that fantasy, I GOT what I need, right NOW. I don't eat much, I don't have to drive around much. I spend most of my day fixing computers for clients, and then the rest of the day I'm on the PC and I'm also working on musical projects. What else is there to do?
I work when I need extra money.
Sometimes I get frustrated, because when I need to get stuff fixed, I don;t got the money. Like right now I need a plumber. But basically, I don't have to worry about anything, and I don't

With half a million I would pay credit card debts, help my family, buy a house and become a partner in a small business, recording studio of course! I'd also construct a home recording studio in the basement.

Pay off my debts, including my mortgage.
But ONE guitar (only). Finish paying for the completion of my album.
And then the rest of it goes into an account to pay for the kids' college.

Dan, go to mexico nd fix your damn teeth.
Thats what I do.
I have a dentist 10 minuetes over the Juarez border that it the best!!
He's a great guy too, he does it all and has a Pakistani guy working for him who makes porcelin crowns that are Art!
he did three root canals with handmade porcelin crowns for me in one 24 hour trip, and it was $1200!!!!!!
that would have cost me well over $5000 here and the work wouldn't have been as good.
His assistant stayed up and made the crowns overnight, I got the Canals done in one day and the crowns put in the next morning. He sets us up with an inexpensive hotel, calls to check on you. It's amazing having dentitry done by someone who actually gives a damn about you and who has skills that make the american dentists I've seen look like hacks.
But you gotta know who to go to down there.
He'll I'd even make the trip with ya, I love Juarez and my favorite restaurant on earth is just a few miles over the border.

I'd send for all the infomercial real estate kits that ever existed and hire somebody else to deal with the kits and become a Real Estate tycoon. And add yet another guarenteed method infomercial to the tv waves.
Oh! and the background music would be iac artists. ya.
