LOST!
Does anyone have any theories about the TV show: "LOST" and how it will end?

It's a very complex TV series that deals with a group of people whose plane crashes on an island. There are flashbacks that examine the life of each passenger before they got on the plane. On the island we are shown "flash forwards" that show what their lives would have been like if their plane had landed safely at the airport. If you google the show you'll see some of the amazing theories about what's really going on. If you haven't been following the show, it's sort of pointless to speculate about it. This is just another pointless thread of mine, so don't pay it any mind! I watch too much TV! It's my guilty pleasure. I'm a sucker for time-travel, good vs evil, free will vs predetermination, changing the future, parallel universes, all themes explored on the show. The finale will probably be one of the most watched ever in TV history.

Richard,
I bailed midway through the third season. I got sick of the announcer saying..."And now all your questions answered" Only to have them create more questions. It really seemed like the writers were stoned and made the shit up as they went along...with no clue what was coming next or how it would end. In fact , the extremly talented J.J Abrams wrote the pilot and the first seasons..he then bailed and the show lost direction. "The Others" "The Smoke Monster" the fricken "Polar Bear",, the pilot seemed to be a knockoff of "Jurassic Park" In fact the Pilot was eaten with what seemed to be a dinosaur,
These story lines seemed to be discarded as the plot went in a different direction,.And the new writers found new sources of weed :)
I really loved the show when it started, the acting was great, and the backstory's of each character were very entertaining. They ran out of stories of the past, and I guess now they are exploring alternate timelines....whatever.The show got "lost.".
I don't care how it ends, and the explanation will be very vague.... The writers are probably still stoned from the contact high. The explanation??? It will probably be just a bad dream...Or everyone on the island is actually Dead from the crash and stuck in Hell on a show that lost it's way.

I agree, Jeff. I've been in and out of the show since the beginning. It's a shame that when a show show any signs of being great, it has to milked like a cow until every drop of milk is gone. They took a cool idea and kept it on life support long after the plug should have been pulled. So much of it is filler that as you say they probably make up as they go along and yet I'm still curious about how they choose to wrap it up. I feel the writers owe it to those of us who put in the time to TRY and stick with the show and figure it out. They may actually come up with something exciting. I've come to like the characters and want to see what happens to them. If the whole show was "Hurley's dream" or some kind of purgatory for "lost" souls, fans will be VERY angry and then they won't want to see the inevitable movie!
