Stupid Question.....

Bitter? strange word to use...I would say Pissed, angered, sad, is more appropriate. The minute we fail to have an emotion to that horrible event, we are dead inside. It was a supreme act of cowardice...and I don't want any bullshit on how they are justified. They killed innocent people on four planes, they killed people at work.....People that have nothing to do with their fricken JIHAD. I hope the bastards on the plane that crashed in pennsylvania got their asses kicked before it went down as the passengers knowing what was up stormed them. They better come with more then box cutters next time, because no one will sit for it.

Yes I am still bitter and I always will be....do you have a point?????

Here is my song that expresses in music my emotions......

Cry (9/11)

THis is a YES. For further detail listen carefully to my tune written just after that event:
We're IN, We're OUT - so sorry that it was never recorded professionally, and this LIVE take needs a close listen, to make out the gist.

Chris, I'm still a little bitter that the whole 9/11 fiasco was used by the Bush Admistration to greater restrict our freedoms (example: Enemy Combatant Law), and further his OIL-centered wars. We need to get the troops OUT, asap.

A good Barack Obama quote, before elected: "We must be as careful coming out of IRAQ, as we were careless going in..." BUT quickly please, Mr. Prez & Advisors. GodSpeed.

yes, I suppose I'm bitter.

a little.

But more than resent I feel sort of an overwhelming sadness.
For all of it, for every innocent person who ended up in the jaws of oblivion from New York to Falujah.
I feel intense remorse for all of it, I think the helplessness in the face of madness and greed and fear and ignorance is the worst part.
I still pursue my life and the little creature comforts of everyday existence but I find I'm stopped dead in the tracks 3 or 4 times a day and overwhelmed at how strange it is that life should simply go on while a million civilians die, and a bomb or phosphorous shell or trade agreement decimates another village or city......
I have depression, but it's easy enough to deal with.
I guess I should be feeling "gratitude", but I don't,
I feel remorse.
Because like it or not, this all happens in my name and like it or not the comforts of my daily life come at an astounding cost.

I'm bitter that we didn't get Bin Laden and went into Iraq instead, myself.

Frater of Never Never Band -- thanks for bringing this deleted blog back.

Scott -- you made a GREAT point there. It was SUPPOSEDLY about getting Osama Bin Laden, originally ---how conveniently the administration turned it into an Iraqi conflict....that's gone on for 7 years now.... What bullshit! We need to GET our BUTTS out of there.

Imagine the conversation:

GWB: Okay, so ... All the people involved in 9/11 were Saudi's correct? Their leader, Osama bin Laden is a Saudi also, right?

Darth Cheney: Correct, Mr President.

GWB: So, Dick, where is Osama now?

Darth Cheney: Our sources he's vacationing in Afghanistan, Mr. President.

GWB: Okay, good. We'll attack them first.

Darth Cheney: Excellent choice sir! There happens to be a Georgian Oil Pipeline that's been put on hold because of Taliban control. Our sponsors will be very happy we've cleaned that up for them. They might even pay for your re-election!

You should be warned though, sir, that no invading force has been successful in Afghanistan.

GWB: Lost cause, huh? Good. I love lost causes. Dick, quick ... name another lost cause in the middle east.

Darth Cheney: Um, I dunno ... Iraq?

GWB: Excellent! We'll invade them too! I'll get that bastard for threatening my daddy.

Darth Cheney: But sir, they haven't done anything.

GWB: Doesn't matter. You look hard enough, you can always make something up. They've got oil too, right?

Darth Cheney: They do, Mr President.

GWB: Good. We'll grab that while we're there.

(Red phone rings ... GWB grabs it)

GWB: Hello?

Phone (Obviously irate caller yelling at the top of their lungs): $^*&($*#(^*#*$*%(#*@

GWB: Oh, Hi Daddy! You still got this room bugged? Shit. You really picked up some choice skillz as head of the CIA ... but I told you Dad, I can do this job by myself now. Goodbye Daddy. Give mumsy a kiss for me.

(Hangs up phone)

GWB: Daddy says there's no good exit strategy out of Iraq, and that's why he didn't pursue Saddam into Baghdad. I'm sure that's not going to matter. The Iraqi's are going to LOVE us for liberating them. It'll all work out fine, I've got the conviction of praise the lord almighty on high behind me. It's God's work we do. The oil is just icing on the cake.

GWB: Now all of you get to work and stoke up the troops. We've got several wars to fight, now get to it! While you're at it, put together a huge "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner I can use once this is all done. This is going to be my legacy ... legacy ... legacy ... (echoes to black)

I'm not as angry over 9/11 as I am over the then U.S. government's response to it.

Darth Cheney, haha. Funny.

I'm bitter in my day to day meanderings so I can't answer this question accurately.

But, I'd say that sad is the main thing that comes to mind when thinking of 9/11. Then I watch some videos of it and I'm horrified.

Then I realize that Osama is still out there laughing it up at us.

The Iraq war has nothing to do with 9/11. But I will say that at least it's starting to look like we've done some good over there, so I'd like to think that it's not a TOTAL loss.

Didn't I hear that it's thought that Osama finally passed on from something like diabetes?

Something is tickling the memory cells along those lines ... but maybe not.

"....I think the helplessness in the face of madness and greed and fear and ignorance is the worst part."

Right on the button Frater ... I think a lot of us feel this way ...

I guess, I've felt a bit bitter ... but the act of 9/11 itself should have been a wake up call to us all ... only not a misguided wake up call ... like what ensued in the after-math ...

I couldn't stand it being exploited by certain parties to try to gain more power ... and I couldn't stand the fact that I saw a lot of hatred ... and people were using the old patriotism call as a means to spread that hatred ...

Atrocities like this occur all over the world ... everyday ... and most Americans don't even want to hear about them ... it's sad really

yes i am bitter about 9/11 but not because it happened but because so few americans understand why - but how could they understand why when they're so caught up in the emotional frenzy that's keeping them from being able to think about rationally - that is without emotional reaction factored in - when we are perpetually bombarded with a one sided view from most of the media about a situaTION WHEN HONESTLY CONCIDERED PROVES AT LEAST TO ME AND MY CONTEMPORARIES frankly, can not be proven one way or the other relative to was it Arab dna (semite dna) or jewish dna also semite dna whether a jew did it or a arab did it - that being said i offer after over 25 years of dedicated analysis trying to asssist in the actual pursuit of middle east peace of which we see as the source for possible world peace there after - i always ask myself who benefitted from the act - well in this case it appears Israel benefitted and surely the arabs have not - you tell me what that all means to you - in short however - yes

kind regards to all walks of life,

Cat Ize
