Thanks All!
hey, thanks to IAC and to anyone who voted for "the law wants me to suffer" in R&B!

I wrote Shanon Walker (vocalist) last night and told her we had won 3rd in R&B and she was psyched!
I wrote that tune for her when she was putting together a demo and she sang the hell out of it!

anyway, the show last night was a lot of fun, I was really impressed with most every winning song in every catagory. A number of surprises, but all the material was top shelf!

Never Never Band:

when you get a chance, be sure and tell her Ms. Walker that a crazy punkrockwannabe named pHLeGm, and his cohorts, friends, and IAC contacts were voting their little booties off for "The Law wants me to Suffer", because it's just a badass song all the way around.

DirgeK was our other HUGE voting blitz in RnB, but unfortunately, though winning the popular vote in EVERY single round, and usually for TWO songs...all she got was an honorable mention and some sort of people's choice award. Like Shanon Walker's, her vocals and delivery (& lyrics, etc!!) are simply AMAZING.

But I DO understand that ALL of the RnB tunes were excellent, and it's a matter of taste and the Judge's final decisions... anyhoo....

Congratulations my good man, you've gotten some WELL-Deserved praise in this contest --keep doin' your thang!

And Please DO tell Ms. Walker about myself,
and her plethora of phans, philling the planet. -pHLeGm

No backhandedness intended Frater.... I and MANY others SERIOUSLY love your tune and Shannon's voice.

not sure how you got that interpretation, from what I wrote, that also mentions my love of DirgeK's Rnb and Blues/rock entries.

Hmmm.... Anyhoo.... We voted like CRAZY for you, because it is a KILLER track.

How that became passive/aggressive or negative to you, I'll never know.

which is fine, I just wish you'd be straight about it .

I personally think Natalie works harder than I do and has far broader appeal.
And she's got tallent dripping of her.
I was surprised that she didn't place.

Maybe I should have posted a congrats to you....making sure to mention how I thought other songs in your genre were more deserving.

but I dont really play games like that. I tried to be amused through the process.
And honest.
When a crappy song rose to the top of Alternative I came on here and said "that song is a piece of shit, what the hell is going on?"

I like Dirge too, thats great stuff. I have no idea how the votes played out or what they based it on. I like MY tune too, I think I write good stuff and play the shit out of the guitar and the Bass.
I think Shanon is the Bomb!

I'm glad we placed, I think we deserved it.

Did you ever READ my first post on your blog here? Or my second?

Have you ever actually read my many REVIEWS of this awesome tune of yours?

Did you even skim over the many praise messages in the SHOUT boxes for this tune from mua?

Look back at what I wrote in your blogs - CLEARLY I said the tune is TOPS, and put in a LINK for it 'cause people should hear it, who haven't.

AND I said it's DESERVING of PRAISE.

AND I said Shannon Walker has an amazing VOCAL on that song.

AND I have had that tune on my stations, the MINUTE I heard it, and totally dug it.

AND that was long before the damn contest.

SO how do you turn a few mentions of Jill's Daughter DirgeK, who is amazing as well, but in NO way diminishes Shannon Walker and your songs amazingness.... who do you misconsture THAT?
