Looks like you resurrected this dinosaur Sammy! I was fairly surprised at how many people pass on FREE quality music. What's wrong with people?

I had a nice thing happen recently, Jess, and I hope you don't mind my sharing on your thread ... but it's only a passing mention ...
I signed up w/ CD Baby and accordingly spent 35 seconds listed on their "New Release" and "What's New in Progressive Rock" front page.
Still, it was long enough to actually SELL a bunch of albums. Made me wonder what might happen if I actually did any promotion.
Nah ... I'm too lazy. It was artistically affirming anyways.

You should. It costs $20 to do digital distribution only, and I made that back and then some on the first day.
They then put you everywhere online ...

Work isn't letting me get to ReverbNation, let alone DL your tunes, Jesse.
I am looking forward to grabbing them, though! I love your style and am loving it even more, now that you're singing.
Keep rocking with your bad self!

Nothing is wrong with me Jesse, I paid for your CD :)
Kevin, CD Baby was great to work with, they allowed a group of us to Post our Christmas Charity CD on their site and offer free downloads to try to get people to donate to charity. It will remain there and I will push it again next year. I was amazed at the amount of CD's available for sale, the "New Releases" alone existed of pages and pages. Its impossible to sell anything without driving people there to specifically look for you....or have CD Baby spotlight you. The only other alternative is someone comes across your CD by chance, and likes it enough to buy it.
It's difficult to say the least....that is why playing live is so important. Its a way to sell your CD, and garner a legit fan base. People are visual animals, that is why "You Tube" does so well. Even average songs with poor quality get more hits on You tube then a cool song recorded well .. Sad but true.I recently recorded a song by The Beatles with Shitty quality on a WEBCAM, its been watched two hundred times in one week...go figure.
