There was only one road back to L.A. - U.S. Interstate 15. Just a flat-out high speed burn through Baker and Barstow and Berdoo. Then onto the Hollywood Freeway, and straight on into frantic oblivion. Safety. Obscurity. Just another freak, in the freak kingdom.

OK since I have decided to put a fear & loathing theme to this station I think this might be a good crowd for throwing down your favorite Hunter S. Thompson quotes. I have already laid down a couple but here's one more (a music biz reference at that) to get the ball rolling even more:
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side. "

I had a look at a few and this one took my fancy.
"Call on God, but row away from the rocks."
Kinda like pray for a miracle, but do it running.
Cheers Mark

Nice quote, Mark.
Hmmm, not many Hunter S. Thompson readers out there?

I'm not the type who remembers quotes but I've read everything Thompson did, at one time or another and I think about it all the time how he would've surely been compelled to come out and write volumes on the George W. Bush presidency.

Indeed he would have, Fly. It's too bad he's not around to make spastic sense of it all anymore.
And you know, I don't usually have many quotes in my head either. I just googled em. haha. So I suppose I shouldn't expect many others to have random quotes at hand. lol.
