Is it unbecoming to shamelessly self-promote?
Honestly, I am pretty sure no one else is going to do it for me. And I want nothing more out of it than people to listen to the songs I have been working on. And perhaps get a new song up at the top of the IAC charts. That is just a really good feeling. And if I need to stick these songs in people's faces then.......shouldn't I?
I try not to stick links to my songs in every post I put up here. I am fighting the urge even now.
I am losing the battle.
Here they come.
I Got The Time
Dodging Sharks
Get Bent (For Life)
Ugh. I am so ashamed.

I think it all comes down to frequency and taste. You are correct, no one will toot you own horn for you (unless you pay them or are sleeping with them :)
So, you need to self promote, or you are lost in a sea of songs and artists..
Yes, Carry on sir...

You should be ashamed. All of your music is terrible. There, now that we have established that and spoken of you, let's speak of me.
Please listen to my song called "I like doing this for a living". The URL is http://fortheloveofgodIspentallofmymoneyonthisguitaryousonofabitch.net

A n altenative to shameful self promotion might be to post some
N ew material rather innocuously and discreetly and allow folks to find it.
I myself find that the best music doesnt need to be promoted forcefully
G ood music will just naturally atrract an audience of listeners for you.
M aybe you should try letting the quality of your music stand on it's own.
A good song is the only salesman you need.
S o try to steer clear of shameless self promotion.

You should stick your songs on the front page cus we want to hear them and hear what yur up to.
These new ones are pretty basic and they sound good. i like your old stuff as well and it's good to see you get right back to the basics and search for something new.
You always have been a breath of fresh air to the indie scene and it's great to see you on the front page where you belong.

Hey you guys all rock so much. Thank you for the compliments and encouragement. I am also enjoying that others are using this post to shamelessly self promote themselves too. Very nice ;-)
By the way, "Dodging Sharks" has yet to be picked up by a station....hint hint hint. Hahaha. Yes, it's par for the course so to speak. Right?
