pay for play
what the hell is up with these outfits that send out emails and solicitation to help make you er ah a star, ,total BS and people fall for it ,like what is up with that, reverse f-ing payola
I mean payola goes on, where labels cut cheques to various media to help a happening new star along, and cloak it as some kinda expense disguised as something else ,that I understand, but taking the average joe for a joy ride and rip them off, and then they say, look at my song and where I am cool, riding high on the charts, what charts, you kidding me, fakers, like to say something else though instead of fakers, they say give us money, we like you, songs good, come give us money like this Jango outfit, and others ,. here, pay us, we make you famous, you get on stations, we good you good, what a joke , hey there is more I can say, you probably dont want to hear it and or see it
I have nothing more to say

Yeah, pay for play is as old as farting up wind. It is a sad reality of the music industry at large. Unless you are sending some program director on a free vacation to the Bahamas, your songs/videos may never been seen or heard by the public at large. But the fakers you are talking about do serve a purpose. Artists that would have given up a long time ago kept going because of a perceived (however falsely) following on a platform created to suck them dry of their cash. Any positive showing in music becomes a tool to keep you motivated and inspired. But it is important to stay cognizant of the reality that you paid to get heard and that the real charts are what you should be aiming for.
Getting heard is what most musicians crave more than anything. It is a gauge that helps to discover your strengths and weaknesses. The fakers are all over the industry. Managers and producers who claim to be able to get you national and international notoriety, song pitchers/pitch sheets that rip you off with phoney listings about mainstream companies and their needs. These assholes claim to be on the inside track to artists and companies. The list of music industry charlatans and rip off artists is long and wide. Sort of makes me sick to my stomach when I get those bogus emails. I would probably do better by believing those Nigerians who claim I won a million bucks in their special lotto. Geesh! The slimey worms of corruption are worldwide. Musicians tend to be easy prey.........
I have nothing more to say either........
