art music and the nature of things
I find a simple stroll daily away from the distractions of my daily routine is some of the best tonic a person can have, it provides a look outside of our own little world and a chance to connect with the nature of things by which we can draw inspiration.
Since winters grasp has come along, it is easy to look outside the dreary clouds misty foggy day that may be to some a bland thing, but to me, it is a refreshing quality of the personality that nature offers us, so many different aspects to the seasons offer its own personality, its like our music, it provides inspiration and a look at how the weather and seasons can be so much like us, brooding some days, upbeat other days,
So then the art and music we make is reflected of course on different days, times or even months and years, Sometimes we have a magnitude of ideas or things that we have bottled up inside and other times we may not feel so inspired. It is then that I just look outside and marvel at the beauty and music that nature offers and enjoy what it offers, since of course our own music pales in comparison to that which nature offers. That said, keep making it and loving every minute of your time to share your art music and voices

I have been walking 4 miles a day since 2003 when I had the stroke. They told me I may never walk again and then were stunned when I got out of the hospital bed and started dragging my left leg down the hallway. By the time I got oput of the hospital I was walking with a slight limp. I have got full movement of all my limbs now. Still have left side weakness but I am walking.
What I do is start my daily walk before the Sun comes up each day. By the time I am done the Sun is up and I have seen all kind of creatures and nature. Clayton Ca. is nestled right up against Mount Diablo and there is so much nature here to see. There is all sorts of wild life here including Wild Boars, Turkeys, Coyote's, Rabbits, Deer, Raccoons, Hawks and the occasional Mountain Lion. Seeing the changing of the seasons as they happen is such a thrilling experience. Right now the first beginnings of spring flowing has begun. By end of March the entire region will be exploding with unbelievable colors. It is quite a spectacle.
However, the biggest part of my walks has to do with my daily prayers and thanks. I am thankful to be able to walk and even though I have lots of ailments to contend with, I have so much to be thankful for. I have written a many song in my head while walking the Clayton Trails.
Much Respect,
Stoneman
