Journey to the East
There is a song within us, the words remain the same whatever the language or culture. It is a song of being human. There are two powerful forces unleashed on the planet by human culture. Art and technology, and just as Chernobyl darkened the skies of the east. We find in art and possibly the halls of Amenti, that anything is possible. Life, hope and spirit.
Sleepwalker
The traveling Irish.

Thankyou for introducing us to this music. I listen to a lot of music from around the world. I love the variety of sound you get with all the unusual intruments, although sometimes I do wish I could understand what they are singing about. Perhaps you would like to take a listen to my friend originally from Sri Lanka who has recently joined IAC and has entered the World competition.
Mal ronata bambaru
This is a song about bees coming to pollinate the flowers, bambaru is a bee I think

Thanks DK's mum.
That's a beautiful song. I love the Sri Lankan culture. A real bonus to have it in the world entries.
The traveling Irish, is just a word for gypsy. That's a gypsy singer who is really popular in the Balkans. She is singing in Slavic. my favorite DK song is the one she wrote about Vladimir Vysotsky. There is something inherently artistic about Slavic culture.

Basically, the song Mal ronata bambaru is a patriotic song about Sri Lanka One has to listen to the words carefully to extract the meaning, I think. Some how, I like it very much.
Jagath's other entry is a love song about a lover in a foreign land. This too has its own appeal to many.
