It's ridiculous
the crap they're tryin' to pass off as music today. Who do they think they're kiddin'? The old time music is better, the 60s, the 70s, even the 50s, It was better back then and anybody who will tell you different can't hit the broadside of a barn with a beanpole.
It just ain't the same as it was back then.

What cracks me up is the fact that during the 50's, 60's and 70's many older people were saying the same thing about the music of that day. They thought the music of the 40's and 30's was so much better than that long haired Hippie music and the so called "Race" music coming out of Motown. They thought the music of my day was crap. I heard them saying it all the time but I ignored them and did my thing. Kind of makes me wonder if 30 years from now the current Whipper Snappers won't be sitting back saying that their music was so much better than the music of the future. Actually, its kind of scary. Could music possibly get worse than what we currently perceive it to be? Or is the relevance of great music generational?
I believe that music is just like the globe. It keeps turning around and coming back to its center. I believe people will eventually get bored with soulless automated and crappy computer data and begin to crave the good organic sounds of the past. At that point young musicians will have to transform themselves or get lost in the wake of real talent. As a confessed optimist, I believe it will happen.
Much Respect

Stoneman, I could not agree with you more. Whatever sells well at this moment is so good that I wish that the music industry disappeared. Call it reverse evolution. Hope things get better soon. Hang in there EM
