I will listen to your music!
Hello again.I feel in the mood to listen to good songs and new music so if you want to suggest yourselves here i will listen! I like commenting and saying what i think, although i'm not a good reviewer as i'm just a listener,so my opinion might not be worth much!
If you want me to only say something if i like your song tell me or else i'll say what i think, whether i like it or not!
If you just want me to listen and not say anything, i'll do that too!
See how nice i am?!

Thanks, Feb, what a refreshing approach.

Hello Kurt.I like your songs! They sound to me like the 70s.The Last Honest Man
is my favourite.I like the way it goes different on the chorus alot but i liked Listen too which is like While My Guitar Weeps by The Beatles. It was very sad,but it was a nice sad.You sound like a good songwriter to me!

Hello again Susan.Your songs sound very professional! If Kurt sounds
like the 70s,you sound like the 80s to me!Do you like the 80s very much?
You have a very big serious sound like people did then. The first 3 of your songs havn't really grabbed my attention if i'm honest.I wouldn't mind if someone played this in the background at a dinnerparty or something, but i wouldn't choose to play them myself, although you're obviously a very talented musician!
Thankyou for posting again!

Thanks, Feb, I'm really flattered by your comments. "Listen" was inspired in part by "My Guitar Gently weeps", which is one of my favorite all time songs. "Last Honest Man" was written in honor of a close friend who fought the good fight, so to speak, for many years, and passed quietly away last year.
I've got a new tune in the hopper now, should be up in a week or so, I'll ping you when I do.
Thanks again,
Kurt

You like 60s music?
fuckin hippies....
Actually I like it too, 70s music, 80s music...
I was listening to the Cars all day yesterday,(I sometimes forget how fantastic they were)
hmmm..
well, I dont know if you'd like any of my stuff....And i'm not sure what generation it's from really, , , We sure did like that funk, Parliment, Ohio Players etc. so we steal some of that mojo sometimes, but really my stuff is a pretty mixed bag of stunts and nonsense ...
listen if you like, I enjoy criticism.

Just because it's old does not mean its not Great........ Just wanted to throw that out there...
Your reviews have a negative connotation when you attach a time period to them, not sure if you mean it that way.....Music can be influenced by the Past and still be relevant. I make it a point to download two new songs a month on Itunes to stay current with whats happening today.... There's some great current material, however most will not stand the test of time, some will, as with all time periods. All the current material still owes plenty to what came before.
There were some great songs in the Eighties. what I think dates the material is the god awful use of synthesizers, they thought they were cutting edge, now the sounds are laffable. However, the songs themselves were great...
The Sixties and Seventies relied more On Guitars, so they sound better today in my opinion. Bands like The Cars use Synths to their advantage, nothing cheesy. They were primarily a Guitar Band...and there songs are still Great today. Songs from current "Pop Country" can be traced to the Seventies when The Eagles were in their prime.
Regards,
Jeff

Hello Sterling! I like 'you' alot. Its very melodic and pretty(not like Pickie Vicky).I like your voice and that you sound a bit lazy singing it.Its very nice easy listening.I'd want to listen to a song like this on my i-pod taking my dog for a walk in the park.Is Sterling your proper name? Its just i've never heard a woman with a name like that before.I can remember the tune even though its not playing anymore.I think my dad would love this song too
Thankyou for your nice song!

Hello Glenn! I listened to your Lars Mars. The first song was what my friend
Jenny calls ' penis' music like hairy bands do who say they're amazing lovers and think women adore them.I think people say cock-rock too?
I really like Middle Of The Night. It was very strange and i didn't expect that chorus!Oh If you had time is beautiful! Its a proper song with a real tune you can love!
I like your music very much. All the songs sound very different from each other.
Most bands songs sound very similar but yours don't.I like that as i like to be suprised!

I think your voice is very soulful and beautiful but the songs are depressing me.You sound very serious and very sad.Sometimes i like to be sad,but not in this way, although i know many people do.The songs make atmospheres but i can't remember any tunes to them unfortunately. You have alot of awards so many people obviously love your music!

Hi February,
Glad you liked my music, very nice of you to say so.
Noone is the best, music has two many subjective aspects for anyone to be the best, it's all a matter of taste, my comment about Father Time being the best was to show 'moral suport' for whatever point he was making (can't remember now) he is pretty good though!

February,
You are sweet to skim through so much music. I would definitely agree that the bulk of my songs posted currently have a sincere heaviness to them... I realize you already stated to Susan that you're not one for lyrics... which unfortunately you then miss the meaning... where the melody may feel sad, the words speak of hope and liberation. I'm a very happy and hopeful person who wrote about a very intense event in my life. Running In Circles and In The Middle of the End, Page Extension are very up tunes... though recorded slower than we had intended.... oh well... lots more music on the way...
Take good care and all the best to you in the coming new year!
peace,
Auset

Thanks very much February.
As individuals and a band, we have widely varied tastes in music and I guess it can't help but show in the music we create.
I Wanna was more "tongue in cheek" than "codpiece in pants." We really are the antithesis of the ego driven bands that you and your friend Jenny describe. We're really all about having fun.
Even our more serious songs get lyric transformations that have us cracking up. If we were more famous, we'd probably do a double cd of these alternate lyrics.
But thanks again, it's always nice to bring a smile to someone's face.
And do be sure to stop in at those stations. There's plenty of wonderful music there and throughout IAC and except for the occasional flame war on the Pipeline, it's really a very nice community here.

Hello Frater! Yes i like 60s music and i don't mind being called a hippy!Americas Baby was very very noisy.Undone was a pretty melodic ballad.

Hello again Phlegm! I don't know which songs are bluespop or not so i listen to the first 3! I don't have time to listen to them all!
You sound very punk and like Nirvana. You say your song is real hard alternative. In the UK people say they're hard when they can beat lots of people up.Do you beat people up? Do you risk being beaten up yourself if you do that? I like In His Head best i think. The chorus sounds just like Nirvana. The second one was very short and violent but still good.

Noisey!
yes, that was what we were doing for sure, creating a sort of ...Din.
and the lack of a chorus on Presidents day , we actually tracked several pieces that were like that, I like to say we had Burned all of our bridges by that point and simply had to do without them.

Jeff. You make keeping up with new music sound like a job! Do you just download 2 random new songs ? If so you must get regularly disappointed! Do you do this to to be popular with the kids? They often like what they like just to fit in with their friends and try to be cool! How uncool is that! ?
