Smell The Love
Love between two people can often be so powerful that it emanates from the core of their hearts. My wife and I were in Cabo San Lucas Mexico on vacation last year and while we were shopping in town an activities vendor (those guys that try to sell you scuba, booze cruise, snorkeling, tours, fishing etc. tickets) came up to us and said wow! you two must be newlyweds cause I can smell the love. We laughed and said no we have been together for many years. As we walked away I heard him say wow! Together for many years and I can still smell the love. I told my wife well damn! we showered this morning. We laughed even harder. Then, that light went on in my head and I pulled out my little hand recorder and recited "smell the love" so I could remember it. I have been working on this song in between paid projects ever since. It started out as a Reggae song then was changed to a jazz piece and finally re-written into a dance/electronic jam. I decided that I wanted it to remind me of all the partying we do in Cabo (we go often because we have two time shares there) and how festive it always is. My favorite part of this song is my guitar solo near the end. Not too shabby for a man with severe arthritis! Anyway, enjoy! Take a little time out of your day to "Smell The Love"
