Say You Love Me Now
In music, sometimes less is more. I seldom work much with my acoustic guitar but I thought I would give it a bit of a go on this song. Even though I am way out of my normal element, I have been in an acoustic mood the last couple of weeks. These are some very juvenile chords merged with some melodic vocals and contrasting drums. The result is a lot more than I expected. Check it out and let me know what you think.

What great vocals, Bro. I especially love that wailing in the beginning. You're right, that chord progression has been used a lot (I've probably used it too), but what you're singing on top of it makes it work. I'd be interested to hear it without drums at all. It's very commercial, if that's what you're going for.
Just for the record, I usually say, "I love you," way too soon. Just saying.

Ha ha, Commercial? Yep, commercial is not a bad word in my songwriting book. Without drums would be a fun experiment though. However, I need the drums to hide my bad guitar playing. (smile) But I will certainly try it out in the lab.

the 1st minute or so drew me in, very authentic and catchy...feels right...
like the harmonies, very musical...
