The Great American Songwriting Contest



It is with great humility and awe that I announce that yesterday I was awarded an "Outstanding Achievement In Songwriting" award by the Great American Songwritng contest for my song "Throw Up The Peace Sign" (Hip-Hop Category). My song was judged to be in the top 5 worldwide out of thousands of submissions. Ironically, this song also achieved #1 overall status here at IAC late last year.

This is my 3rd award in the last 4 years from this prestigious contest. It also is my 40th music industry award. Not too shabby for an old fart like me huh? Anyway, I would like to thank all of my friends here at IAC who have always been so inspirational and encouraging. Being a part of this music community brings me great joy and I look forward to hearing more great music from you all.

Big Congrats Stoneman! It's fabulous to be recognized by the music industry. (I, personally wouldn't know haha) I know I complained about genres recently, but I so admire the way you can write in any style and combine music and business in a non compromising way.
