Me Tonight
In this song a man sees woman out on the dance floor alone. The man observes for a while and then moves in for the so called "score". He has decided that she is so beautiful that it is worth taking the risk that she might have a boyfriend hovering somewhere in the club. I was never this kind of bold risk taker. So I was intrigued with it! This is the current state of things in regards to the modern human mating ritual in an urban setting. I have seen it happen many times. I observed this one at a dance club and was inspired to write this song. On this song I sort of went back to the 80's R&B/Dance feel. I even put an old school type of rap on it as well as the 80's beat structure. The song has no moral redeeming value but its a fun song to dance to. That was my intent. My wife loves it and immediately started doing "her" dance when she heard it. We are old school people for sure as we have been known to break out with dancing and laughter in unexpected places. There is nothing complicated or musically challenging about this song. Its just fun! I even enjoyed putting my short "old school style" guitar solo in the intro part. Fun!

Great vocal here Stoneman-Love your falsetto - and it has got a definite fun 80s vibe -really dig the guitaring too (or is that a synth ? )
There was a club i used to go to about 8 years ago (the only local place you could get a drink after 1am saturday night - and it was horrible.
You didn't dare try and dance with any attractive women - 'cos there'd usually be a boyfriend lurking close by ready to intimidate/punch you
I can't believe i actually used to go to that place

All aboard the soul train with conductor Stoneman! I love the falsetto vocals and the SICK kick drum!!! Man, that's an earthquake of a drum beat, the best I've heard in years. This is an amazing party track that really captures the atmosphere of the situation. I can see it all my mind's eye and it's quite a scene. This song rocks, swings and pops with all the right swag. Great dance track!

And fun to listen to as well - actually if I could surgically remove myself from this dumb computer, I bet it would be fun to dance to! I love all the electronica stuff especially that little ending to every 4th line of the verses and of course the dance beats. Vocals are of course amazing and the rap at the end too. Good one!!

Steve,
Thanks for the kind words man. Actually, I used an Olympic guitar (1964) and played it through a line 6 guitar effect. Had to use an old mans ax to get that old man sound. I seldom use my Olympic anymore.
Thanks Again!
Richard & Delores,
Thanks so much for listening and leaving such positive remarks
Much Respect,
Stoneman
