Most of us have been through the arduous task of picking ourselves back up after a torrid break-up with someone that we loved tremendously. The loss of that person in our lives tends to leave a tragic hole that is so hard to fill. So, quite often we give in and go back to the relationship. But the person that we are so in love with has not changed and the heartache and pain from their actions is immediately felt again. This pattern may continue for several months and often for years. Our friends and family get frustrated with our constant barrage of painful tears and sadness.
Then, one day we have finally truly had enough and we walk away from that toxic relationship for good. Unfortunately that doesn't stop us from pining away for the love we have become so desperately addicted to. But by permanently closing the door to the relationship, we open the door to new possibilities. After several failed attempts at new love, we are blessed to finally find that one person that fits into our hearts and our lives perfectly. The true love that they give us begins to heal all the old wounds and to clean our weary souls from the pain of a toxic past love. We begin to have spiritual growth and we lose that addictive craving for someone that is no good for us. At that point we have been freed from the insanity of a bad relationship and cleaned up emotionally so that we can be blessed with true love. In a word, we have been:

If you have been through this process or are going through it, I hope you will take the time to have a listen to this new song. I got the idea while watching a commercial for clothes washing detergent "Tide". Enjoy!

Its a cool song Stoneman..Chorus is realy catchy n spacey - and the verse with the fab twinkly piano bits is excellent..
I've noticed with a few of your songs now how you create such strong contrasts in mood and sound between your verses and choruses...I really like that kinda drama n suprise in music..
Anyways great vocal -sweet soulful summery melodies -strong writing :)

All aboard the soul train with maestro Stoneman! I love the guitar licks and the amazing drum track that changes with every new section. Wow! It's rare that such an accomplished songwriter is also a fantastic producer, musician and singer! The words and ideas are also miles above most pop/soul songs. You clean up well!!

Who hasn't been through an addictive relationship? I'm betting very few. Too bad it's not just as easy as washing up with Tide to get over it haha. I love how cool and easy this whole song is. It's like when you're finally just too exhausted to keep up with the pretense and misery and you look over your shoulder at where you've been with a real sense of relief and peace even.
Beautiful music as always, Stoneman :)
