In Paradise
I am sure that the tribute songs to Madiba are about to start permeating the airwaves both here and around the world. I personally don't think it is possible for me to write a tribute song worthy enough for this great man as the horrors he withstood are beyond my ability to comprehend. I will allow all those songwriters who are so much greater than me to write those songs. Instead, I pulled this song out of my archives. It is a song of hope for the afterlife. Madiba has graduated to the next level of life and I believe that he is now sitting in the honored place reserved for those who have fought the good fight. No more pain, struggle, incarceration or hatred to contend with. Mandela lives on in our hearts and in the Paradise he earned and deserves.
