Olongapo City
As my first effort for 2014 I would like offer up "Olongapo City". This sort of Latin styled Jazz piece was written in honor of Olongapo City located in the Subic Bay of the Phillipines. I was sent there during the Vietnam war twice for R&R from the war. It was a city of many variables as it was obviously geared towards the G.I.'s who had earned a respite from the war. So there was lots of drugs, nightlife and some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. But the main thing about the city was the fact that I was in a safe place away from the horrors of war. In this song I tried to capture those feelings I felt as I kicked back and relaxed looking out at tranquil Subic Bay.

Very groovy groove, Stoneman. I have run out of superlatives for your many diverse
and colorful masterpieces. But give me a little time, I'll think of more!
