Yup.

I'll join in with the likes of Ash, Sam, and Slywitt.

Who're we gonna talk shit about first?

Just kidding.

I like to think I'm already IN a clique with Sam, and Slywitt, after supporting their music so hardcore for more than the past 6 months!
Ash, do you do original music, too?
I've already seen that you kick ass, on the intelligence of your posts up in here.

pHLeGm! Why thank you vurry much! I feel exactly the same about you. I had to wear my sexy-secretarial-like glasses just to see the blog screens today! haahah! With the matching mushroom boxing gloves for a bit too.

I adore your enthusiasm pHLeGm! It's all over the place. I feel like I know you and your band. I know I heard your rehersal one night with your new guitarist, and saw the video of you, and have heard your music on your artist page, I sneek around late at night. heheeh!

Oh Sam! You know what? I was running around here trying to find how to spell pHLeGm name properly and came back to respond to his post and then I see your post! Sam, I love you so much! So many do. Your "Looking Glass Pond" is an awsome story. A waker upper.

Ash "Leave the Dragons Behind", as you already know, I'm sure, is simply beautiful.

It's PERFECT for my mellower station, Phlegm Phavourite Country & Blues (and easy listening)

THANK YOU Sam, and Ash, for encouraging me to listen to some NEW, quality music. It's even BETTER the 3rd time through.

GREAT Message, too..... Welcome Aboard !!

Sam, look what you did. You are a powerful and influencial one! For that song to be included on a Phlegm music station is an honor. Thank you Phlegm and Sam! Thank you both for the sweetest complements. That warms my chilly heart forever.

The alternative to being banned is to threaten to quit forever and then come back the next day (or even an hour later) as if nothing happened.

I can also write annoying poems and come up with dopey tag lines. Please let me know, I am a team player and will be glad to help.

@Richard Scotti,

Hey man, what did I ever do to you? I mentioned in my rantings that I wasn't sure I had the gumption, or the health of mind and spirit for intellectual jousting in the blogs! I never said I was going to quit.

It seems many just want to egg me on, and single me out because I've had some momentary lapses of reason. It's like chickens picking at the injured one until it's dead.

What do you people want? Is it par for the course to drive the impaired, or momentarily weak, out of the blogs?

I have apologized profusely (and from the heart) for my knee jerk reactionary comments.

It's as if no one will let me live it down.

Survival of the fittest my friend. Suck it up! You're being WAY too sensitive, and if you can't hang then you'd best just stay away for your own benefit.

Hunka,
You just gotta fight the good fight homie. It's like when I work with some New Yorkers travelling on the plane. They treat you rudely, you treat them rude back. "Never Let Them See You Sweat". Then, you get their respect and everything is fine after that. Squrly!!! Good to see(?) ya'...I thought about starting a "quiche"...But, had second thoughts. Don't want to get eaten ya' know???

@Slimdog,

Thank you for your sincere advice! I truly appreciate the comforting words coming from someone who, rather than trying to prove how witty they are, or joining in the group to pick on someone, actually speaks from the heart.

Much love and respect,

Tim, dude...

This was NOT about you. I suspect that there's not a person on IAC who's sitting around thinking about how they can get YOU. If they are, then congratulations...you've got power over them.

I'm really sorry if this hurt you, that wasn't my plan at all. I kind of thought you might chuckle and say 'yeh, I'm getting too paranoid here', but I'm guilty of projecting my own likely reaction onto you. Yes, I thought I was being witty, doing a play on words about your thread. To tell the truth, I really hadn't been paying that much attention. This thread WAS fun and NOT about you until you plopped yourself right into the middle of it.

Someone once suggested that I read the short story "A Piece of String" by Guy de Maupassant. I'm sure you can find it on the net. It's about a guy who's life was consumed and destroyed by trying to prove that he wasn't so cheap as to pick up a piece of string.

Here's a quote from near the end:
"He went home ashamed and indignant, choking with anger and confusion, the more dejected that he was capable, with his Norman cunning, of doing what they had accused him of and ever boasting of it as of a good turn. His innocence to him, in a confused way, was impossible to prove, as his sharpness was known. And he was stricken to the heart by the injustice of the suspicion.

Then he began to recount the adventures again, prolonging his history every day, adding each time new reasons, more energetic protestations, more solemn oaths which he imagined and prepared in his hours of solitude, his whole mind given up to the story of the string. He was believed so much the less as his defense was more complicated and his arguing more subtile."

@ Larree

Dude,

You know absolutely nothing about me, or my nuts! And yes, people have done both, praised, and criticized my music. I have been playing in front of people for money for 33 years. Usually, I am thicker skinned. I've been homeless, had a construction company, produced dozens of my own bands, raised a family, cared for a very sick wife...I have lived plenty.

As I stated in my previous posts, I am weak (right now) and vunerable. I am man enough to admit my weak moments, and apologize when I am wrong. "Do not judge a man, until you have walked a mile in his shoes".

I don't blame anyone here for jumping on the bandwagon. Whatever makes everyone happy....give to me...give it to me hard...I deserve it. I am a man, that's all. A man that is having a tough time connecting, a man who may be a bit confused.

I don't have to elaborate on my personal problems. I don't want sympathy, I want empathy. I don't have to puff up with braggadoccio, or machismo. Everyone is so tough here, so together, so, so, perfect. I guess I should be grateful for all the advice...grow some balls, thicken my skin, bend like a willow.

Sometimes...easier SAID, than done...that's all!

TF
