KIAC Hitline...
So, the band decided to explore the KIAC Hitline...We didnt really want to but we got curious..
WOW, never doing that again. Who pick these things? Seriously....we dont mean to be jerks and all but...how do we put this? Some terrible stuff on here....
Ecstatic Mood? Upstairs at Eric's?
audio overdose? we can hear that on any radio station anywhere, generic
We arent going to touch on any of the R&B stuff. we kind of hate all of it so it wouldnt be fair to say anything.
Anyway, wow, some of this is just terrible. Sorry. So much Dr. Seuss lyrical and throaty unoriginal stuff.
YEah we won't be listening to THAT again.

Like any other list of music, it is fluid changeable.
And also like any other list of music, it is subjective open to interpretation by the tastes of the individual listeners, both those who select the tunes, and those who listen.
So, today is a bad day for you. Keep coming back and I guarantee that there will be tunes up there that you will like, at some point.
Hell, you may even find yourself on there at some point. You never know.
Of course, I haven't heard you yet, so it's pure speculation. But I'll remedy that now, despite your acidic ways.
Welcome aboard.
Oh, and hey. Chicago guys, too.
What up?

we are arent concerned with our music and it being up there...and we arent acidic...just calling it like we hear it. why sugar coat it? what happened to heckling at shows?
we would rather people tell us we suck than provide some false sense of "good" so bands can make more bad music...
but hey thats just us...

Hecklers always pissed me off.
I'd rather they just went to take a piss or something and let the folks who actually did enjoy what they were hearing enjoy it. Ya know?
I mean, I don't ever like everything that's on the Hitline, but I just kinda pick and choose the stuff that I do like to listen to. Let the folks that like the other stuff enjoy it without comments from the peanut gallery (me).
Dig?

By the way, I listened to a couple of your songs and, I like the sound of it. Great layered guitars. But I do wish that there were some vocals (at least on the tunes that I heard... are they all instrumental?).

Stilted? Howza the grapes in chic town? Sounds like youse gots some sour ones didn't ya? Keep trying cause there are at least 41 arteests that have listeners, I know you chaps don't care about people listening to your "music" ( which has been done to death by the way, yawn)so why do you do it? so maybe try to learn your instruments and how to write a song people want to hear instead of crying to mama cause no one likes your crap. They have McDonalds in Chi town? Maybe time for you to move out a mamas basement huh, and get a job?

If we've learned anything from radio, it's that "hit" does not equal "good song."

Honestly Stilted...before you come to IAC to say how much music sucks, please give us a detailed reason WHY before you decide to put your foot in your mouth. A majority of these artists on the Hitline would run circles around you musically if you really took the time to HEAR the music. Thers is some music I like less than the others but that doesn't mean that there is less love or effort involed by that person or group to put that music together. Opinions are like assholes, you know? To me, the IAC Hitline and the KIAC Big 50 & Underground 40, are essentilally the "essence" of what IAC is about. It is enough just to lure you in to check out to what more IAC has to offer. Maybe oneday, you'll be on there. I just didn't think what you wrote stilted was fair. Opinion or not, there IS alot of great music on the Hitline...

Wow, Behind Blue Eyes actually got an *honorable mention*! LOL
*Welcome aboard* Stilted! :D BBE was part of a compilation tribute CD presented directly to Pete Townshend and Rachel Fuller. Was included on their internet radio station here at IAC before they took it down, and got a thumbs up/lovely write up along with all of the other's contributions on their ITA website. Everything else from there (#1 at Cashbox Magazine/IAC charts) was icing on the cake for me.
Hope you have as much success here!

btw ... If one is honest, I couldn't listen to TBO's song. It was so nasally mids. I prefer more cream w/ my coffee.
Mind you, the material and performances are wonderful ... but it was the recording I found hard to connect with. It sounds like it was mixed by a guitarist. Not a criticism ... outside of the mixing observation.
I'll also admit I didn't listen to anything of stilted's stuff. I've been too busy to give much ear as of late. In addition to constructing my addition, I'm working on new stuff. Yet, if they want an honest assessment, I'm more than happy to give my two.
