First new song in a while
I recently had a reality check about my production. It's definitely my weak point, so I think I'm going to stick to just acoustic guitar and voices for a while, and see if I can get those sounding better.
This is my first effort. Wrote the lyric some time ago, but just now set it to music.
Hope you enjoy the songwriting. That's what I'm aiming for.
It's Only Everyone

I love this new song Tom - great lyrics and wonderful melody and harmonies. One of your best songs I think.

Very nice and very pleasant song, very well sung and reach by pretty harmonies, it evokes intelligently Simon & Gardfunkell and the Beatles while keeping a real originality. Great job Tom !

I agree with all that has been said about the song thus far and I tip my hat to you for making the best of your reality check and writing this amazing song, unencumbered by the demands of production concerns. Now you can really shine at what you do best without distraction.
The words and music are great and so is the vocal. When did you learn to sing harmony like that? Your drive to keep getting better is truly remarkable.
Pavorotti said that even in his prime he always felt like the "eternal student". I try to live by that philosophy. No matter how good we get at something, there is always something more to learn and your embrace of reality shows you're always learning too.
Thank you for writing a really inspirational song and for sharing your heart and mind with us. What ever you write, you always give 100% of yourself at the time you write it and with each new song that 100% improves exponentially. For better or worse (mostly better) you were born to write songs and it shows.

Another Tom O'Brien classic for sure. Sometimes less is so much more. You don't need a whole lot of product to sound great. Just you and the guitar is enough to make the world stop and listen. Your songwriting makes me smile that knowing smile in witness of greatness. Ear to ear on this one!
Much Respect Tom

Reminds me a little bit of something that Jenny Lewis (from Rilo Kiley) would write. You know who she is? It's a helluva compliment for me to say that, Tom.
Really nice work!
