"Ordinary Girl" is just acoustic guitars and voices - give it a listen!
This is a new song of mine that I really tried several arrangements of before settling on this one. I'm still sticking to my recent idea of just getting the vocals and guitars right, so even though it's a pretty full arrangement, it's only those two elements. Hope you like it.

Wow, Tom your lyrics often leave me stunned! This song is no exception to that. Yours is a voice that speaks in levels beyond the norm. This song is truly proof that you are not an ordinary songwriter.
Much Respect To You Man!

Great words on the page....but can't really hear many of them in this style of production. Nonetheless, it's a very ambitious song with great potential. The overly other-worldly reverb/delay/echo, etc is interesting but overwhelms the structure of the song which becomes somewhat amorphous and less direct. Still, with a few tweaks, it could all come together nicely. Your work reminds me so much of Graham Nash, who I greatly admire.
Just the way Dylan told the Beatles to step up their game lyrically, your lyrics are a powerful reminder to all of us that words matter. Keep up the good work as you dig deeper and deeper into a subconscious excavation where all the mysteries of life are buried.

Richard, I really appreciate your feedback on the production choices. I'm always looking for a new sound and I don't always know how to get it. Maybe I should try to achieve more of what I sound like live - I always think my live shows are so much better than my recordings. I may play with the effects a while and see if I can come up with a new mix. I also greatly admire Graham Nash. Songs for Beginners is one of my favorite albums. Thanks for the comparison.
Update: I've remixed the song with a much drier feel and I think I like this better. Give it another listen and see what you think.

Tom ~Sounds great! I can hear the influences of CS&N, Buffalo Springfield and even Joni Mitchell. Thanks for keeping the 60's alive!
