The Disappearing Heart (new song)
This one's got a haunting gentle melody like you used to hear from America or Bread or that soft rock kind of stuff. As always, I'd love to hear your critiques. Thanks for listening.

Hi Tom - had a good listen to this track and I really like the chorus melody and general feel of the song.
I found the melody of the verses slightly more difficult as it doesn't go the way I keep expecting it to (not a bad thing) but I'm going to listen to it a few more times to see if familiarity makes it grow on me.
I really like the lyrics and harmonies a lot.

I like the lyrics very much. They're direct and emotionally evocative. The music has some very good sections but meanders a bit. The vocals and harmonies are very good. I think if you simplified the melody and chord structure, the words and music would sound more compatible. The melody seems to veer off into discordant territory on certain lines. This would be OK on a more experimental song but when you are paying homage to America and Bread, the melody and chord changes have to be seamless and sweeter to the ear. Good song, though. Try to revolve around those great opening chords in the intro. This song can be saved!

As always, your lyrics are so cool. Also great guitar strumming here. Very nice song just the way it is. However, there are some slight timing issues you may want to revisit. The harmonies in the chorus are absolutely splendid. This song has great potential and I love the nostalgic feel it has.
Great Job!
