This song might have been a hit in 1932.
And now, for something completely different ...
Sometimes the muse hits you funny and you just have to roll with it. My mother's father was a beautiful Italian tenor (we have some old home-made records - apparently an uncle of mine had some kind of record-making machine back in the 40's. We have recordings of my mom singing at 16 years old. What a treat - but I digress) So, anyway, I think my grandpa would've loved this song - it's very old-fashioned. He died when I was very young, so I didn't really know him. But I know his voice.
If you start listening and immediately think it's not your cup of tea, I ask you to just sit with it and give the whole thing a listen - it just might grow on you.
