A new mix - your comments welcome
Hey, I put a rough take of this song out a little while ago, but I've just gussied it up a bit, adding some oohs and ahs and an electric lead (or two). I think it came out nicely, but I'd welcome your ideas still. Anything bug you in this mix?
All Over Again
Thanks for taking the time to listen!

Very breezy, pleasin' listen...
Very nice touches on the intro, kinda loggins and messina vibe, and i like all the rhymes in the 1st verse, then that cool descending bass line.
You kept the gentle "strewin' flowers," and the verse about "the cigarette glow" verse kinda film noire, gives a touch a humphrey bogart slidin' up to the chorus.
kudos on the sonics, songwriting...

I like it a lot. This mix updates the whole style of the song and even makes the lyric (which was great to start with) more modern and meaningful, in my opinion. Nicely done!

I agree with all the points made by Steve and Delores. I love the melodic flow that reminds somewhat of a great Simon and Garfunkel song. The kick drum is nice and solid and really holds the song together. The guitar fills are also quite tasty and the words as always are very good and heartfelt. The only way I think the song could be improved would be if there was a harmony part or two over the lead vocal on the chorus. (especially a high part, maybe even falsetto) it would give the song a real elevation that would lift it up spiritually particularly on the words "All over Again".
Sometimes a good three part harmony reaches for the clouds.

Not sure that I remember all the nuances from the first mix but this mix sounds really good to me. Wonderful melodic production and cool guitar work. As always, your lyrics shine brightly. Great vocals and they seem to be mixed well.
Much Respect,
Stoneman

Thanks for listening Steve, Dolores, Richard and Stoneman. Since moving back to California, I haven't been playing live anywhere, so it's a great thing to be able to share with on-line friends.
