And the Song Goes On
I am lucky to have a close circle of guy friends, some of whom I've known since we were toddlers. We have shared all the pitfalls and triumphs of growing up, as well as sharing a love of music. I know that they are people I can always count on.
But I got to thinking, there's one friend who, in many ways, is the complete opposite of me. He's a wealthy attorney living in a large house in a well-to-do neighborhood, while I've always been the struggling artist. I'm impulsive, he's calculated. He has had his life planned out since high school and it has all worked out perfectly, whereas I barely know what I'm going to do tomorrow, and life has been a rollercoaster.
And then I realized that there are many differences among all of my friends - maybe that's why we enjoy each other's company. So I wrote this song for my friends.
And the Song Goes On

What a blessing it is to have friends like the ones you write about in this song. The song and the sentiment are brimming with positivity and optimism, two things we all need more of today. Musically and lyrically, you can always be relied upon to offer honest, competent and entertaining work. I always look forward to what you’re going to do next. Good work!

Thanks, Richard. I was little worried that this song would come across as corny, but it was heartfelt. I shared it with my friends, of course, and it resonated with all of them.
