Lyrics to entice you
I've got a beautiful song called "After a Rain" that I wrote with Greg Murai, and it just isn't getting listened to much, so I thought I'd give you the lyrics here, so that maybe it'll move you like it moves me. It's an extended metaphor for a relationship. Short and sweet.
After a rain
Piercing the silence, sunlight screams
Who can explain
The scent of the pavement cloaked in steam?
After a rain
Reverently drips the remnant dew
Subtle refrain
Echoing rain's last overture
To no one I whisper, "How nice it was!"
To myself I wonder how real it was
Walking alone
Locked in a world away from you
Was it so wrong
Soliciting rain's soft solitude?
