Anyone here use ejamming?
I've just recently discovered this....seems to be the best LIVE collaborative environment I've been able to find for musicians who want to jam with each other over the internet. I've even heard some reports of negligible latency which is highly encouraging :)
I guess what I'm asking is, would anyone like to try to put together an impromptu jam session?

I wonder how fast your connection has to be?

It looks like there is a minimum requirement of 250kbps upload speed to use ejamming.
You'll have less latency if your upload speed is faster and if you're closer (geographically speaking) to your jamming partners. Fortunately they've got a 30-day free trial so you can see whether or not it works for you.

Hey, I put an odd time sig practice form up on my page callen STRANGE TIME, lets all grab it and take a few runs of soloing on it.
It's kind of fun, you can play all over the place on it but it seems like the key of F and the related pentatonics work well.
it has a turnaround that goes to an E chord.
Maybe one player could solo two times through the form and then let the next player take the form twice...
It's sort of like jamming, sort of.
when you've added your part load it on your page and the next player can grab it.
(if you dont know how to grab it from the page I'll e-mail it it ya)
I bet we coud make a delightful disaster of the thing!!!
huh?
It's be great to get a horn on there somewhere....

I tried getting into the "odd time sig", I noticed some lovely phrasing, but I cant really find the "one" or the groove in there, maybe if you put up something straighter or say the number so we can work on a count, someone might go for it,
but still lovely guitar noodling :)

here's a strange one I kind of reworked.
It has some a-tonal ideas, but if you just play Aflat over the solo section (or anywhere) it works kind of cool. It makes your Aflat ideas sound kind of out and interesting.
It has a sort of King Crimson vibe, reminds me of some of those ideas on Dicipline.
The solo section starts at about 1 min into it and runs about about 1 minute and 20 secs or so.
the backing track kind of builds up with weird stuff the whole time...
A flat
I'll put something in straight 4 and with a more concrete tonal center up this eve..
but this is fun to practice to!!

Maybe we should just do a 1-4-5.
in A or E, thats probably the sort of thing more people can participate in.
I'll try to throw something together thats not too boring.

I gotta go to a rehearsal for a couple hours.
I started a minor key jam that we can do, with lots more room to play than that Aflat piece.
I'll try and finish it when I get back and upload it.
Hey Data, you have anything we can jam to?

ok, here's one in A min.
a minor contribution
if you need it via e-mail let me know.
It has an intro, then I take 1 solo section, then there rae 3 blank solo sections and then I do an outro.
The drums are a strange kit from LOGIC 9 called "new jazz kit"
HA HA!!
but they sound kind of neat...
