Good stuff, fryman. The Cult is one of those bands I never saw, and I just missed my chance (maybe last chance) to catch them. I really like that band, in fact I have been jamming on all the albums from "Love" through "Beyond Good and Evil" (don't have the newest one) since the pipeliner "Cult of The Cult" jarred my memory a while back. I can't find my Southern Death Cult stuff, some bastard musta stole them (assholes).

I did get a chance to catch Ian's Morrison on Ice act with the Doors of the 21st Century a few years ago - that was WAY better than I expected, rawkon.

Fantastic plastic lobster telephone,

Thanks. I didn't hear them until 1987 when I was shopping at Macy's Men's Store and they had the Love album playing. I asked the clerk who that was, scored the album on my way home. Did manage to catch the Viper Room show in '99.

Here's another live "Love", same era (mid Eighties)

When I saw them (the night before the DVD was filmed) me & company just wanted to see Krieger and Manzerak "before they died". We all expected major suckage. Astbury was very good as "Jim", I really got into it.

The DVD the vid comes from features the entire LA Woman set, worth the bucks. The night I saw them it was more of a "greatest hits" package, very cool though. I had to talk people into going, but they were all glad I did in the end.

I have been sitting here spinning "Ceremony", it's Cult Day......

2009.

You don't generally see french fries live to such an age being born,
oh, six years ago is it? Young for a person. Old for a potato product.

Must be clean living.

French fries have survived up to eleven years (the current record) under a certain type of sofa cushion, in dry climates, though sometimes a fine mist of water is required for complete re-animation.

It seems to me that if you are willing to entertain the idea that fried potatoes are alive then conjecturing about potential lifespans may be fuckin stupid. Maybe it is just me. Or maybe it is just fuckin stupid. Or both, I am a fan of fuckin stupid from way back. And this smacks of fuckin stupid, so, you know, I am a fan.

Why do you stay who you are?
Be what you've never been
Someone that you've never seen
You're living in a time machine

I may have gone mute (strong silent type goes well with Stone Cold Sexy) but I did not go blind. I have always kept up with the usual suspects, I don't think I missed anything in this epic saga. Well, surely I missed SOMETHING, but I am satisfied that I am up to date, at least up to date enough for a stupid fuck like me.

I just dislike typing, sue me.

Plus, let's face it, I have nothing. And a big bag of it.

And, you know, Teddy Bears in Tupperware.

Wow Jingo, great find there on both counts, Scorpion Child and Spiritual Beggars. Thanks for the tip. Would like to see both of them on this site, and more of that type of music.

Really like the moves on the Scorpion Child frontman. I wonder who he was influenced by? :)
