Don't blame Chinese
The Chinese people are hard working dedicated people. Do not blame Chinese for greedy lazy American and European day traders and businessmen selling out the general publiic with crappy products.
..of course that has nothing to do with the fact that I wouldn't buy most products manufactured in China for wally world, they're landfill fodder.

I agree. The Chinese people are hard working and dedicated.
They are certainly very, very industrious. In fact, if there were an award for sheer industriousness, it would go to the Chinese.
However, that still doesn't explain why somebody can solder a circuit board so fucking badly that the solder rattles around. I mean, take pride in what you do.
Anybody can make something cheaper.

I don't blame them at all. If I'd been born there, I'd be one.

This thread is wonderfully oblique and funny.

It's hard to form an educated opinion about a country that exists on the opposite side of the world as ours.
Personally, I give them alot of credit for being able to accomplish so much considering that they have do everything upside down.

Well ... you did say it was the other side of the world ... so of course it's upside down.
Don't make you better, only different.

Nothing upside down about China.. the melamine in baby milk powder is kind of hard to forget.... but that's not done by your regular citizen... it's a corporate management thing, much like the banking crisis that started in another very large country.
I met some folk from mainland China, and they asked me where they could buy baby milk powder in Osaka. They don't trust their big makers either.

Yep, the world would surely be a much nicer place if traits like greed, and dishonesty were only produced in certain easily identifiable, geographical locations, ...like pineapples and penguins are.

The Chinese have given the world so much - pasta! writing! paper! and... uh... gunpowder? Well, I'm not so thankful for that one. But China has had one of the greatest civilizations on earth. And we're talking a country of a couple BILLION people. We can't just judge an entire race on their shoddy exports. We're the ones buying that c-r-a-p. What does that say about us?

China lends the USA 2 Billion dollars a day. They may not have a perfect system but what does it say about our system that we have to borrow so much from them?
And fortunately there is a country willing to lend to us. It's tragic, but without them we'd be in serious trouble. No other country seems eager to lend money to a country
in a recession and that might be still headed for a depression.

the Chinese have to lend that cash to Americans, otherwise Americans would not have the cash to buy the Chinese exports.
