The Hit Line
Here's my thoughts on the Hit Line, and a few other things.
Mostly rockin' tunes, with fair amount of eclecticism. Some sweet songbirds too, who could complain about that? Dudes that live in their parents basement, maybe. Any list that long has a song or two that don't please somebody. But it has high standards and if I had to listen to those 40 songs on a 4 hour road trip I'd be digging most of it. Probably get a ticket cause I'd be into it so much I'd be flyin'.
That did happen to me once, on I-70 going thru Wabaunsee County, near Alma. Was listening to "Highway Star" and let it creep up to 95. You've heard the song, you know how that could happen. Didn't care about the fine. It was a big one. Man, I was just glad I got to drive away.
If you drive I-70 thru Kansas, set your cruise control to 68 when you hit Wabaunsee County.
If your going out West, head down to Texas and pick up I-40. As soon as you hit Texas it's 75 all the way through Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. But, as soon as you hit the PRC it's 70, and 65 if you get anywhere near a city.
Back to the Hit Line. It occupies a lot of space. It's BIG. Good for those who get on it, but maybe good for everyone cause it projects an image of quality. A rising tide lifts all boats is a truism with some truth to it.
And if somebody was thinking about putting Stilted on, there's a related band on here called Cased, which does have vocals and does rock hard. Maybe put up some of that.
