how to change song details without spamming new songs page
Hi, can anybody tell me how to change song details (file, image etc) without that song reappearing on the new songs page? I hate to spam that page with songs already uploaded that I just want to change the details of.
Also, is there still a help page on the site? I can't find the link anywhere (I was wanting to change the details a number of songs, hopefully all at once).
cheers
Cary

I don't think that it would be considered spam if a few songs were edited and went on to the new songs list for the second time. I don't think that many are scrutinizing the list that carefully and looking for that kind of thing. The editing is more important to the song than how one perceives the motives for the editing. If a song sounds better than it did before, it is essentially - "new". You won't get any complaints about spam.
To my knowledge, all re-edited songs enter the new song list again but I if it really concerns you, check with admin.

Thanks Richard, I have a lot of image files that I wanted to change, didn't want them to necessarily appear on the new songs list where they have already been before not so long ago

Personally I'd be glad to have the song show again - it draws attention to the new images or content or whatever it is you want to change. No-one would think of it as spam I'm sure!!
I think it's great to get a song on the list whenever you change something. Of course - just doing it for the sake of it is pointless and people would soon realise if someone was constantly listing the same songs over and over.
I recently mentioned that one of my songs has been added to the Hitline - and of course I'm thrilled it shows again. Why not? It's a pretty thankless task most of the time so any extra bit of exposure is all for the good as far as I'm concerned.
Also, I love to get reminded of peoples songs and often pick "older" tunes for my stations because they happen to be there when I check the "new" songs. So don't worry and get changing those images!
