Bordering on Bedlam
We are about to release a song that was written about Borderline Personality Disorder (see website for more details).
One of my passions in life is to reduce the amount of stigma there is against people with mental health problems. I am thinking about starting a new radio station here with a view to posting music that has that specific aim in mind.
Anyone know of anything they've done or others have done that would fit on a channel of this sort?
Anti stigma and healing for mental health
thanks
Sandy

That's a very interesting idea. My sister in Oz has suffered with bi-polar (manic depression) and OCD since she was very young and I know that music is one of her great pleasures when well or duing episodes of illness. Thankfully through treatment she's been able to lead a reasonably normal life despite her problems.
She's always had an amazing attitude and been very open about her illness which I think has made it easier - we even are able to joke about it sometimes - she has a great sense of humour.
I think people with these types of illness are often the most creative people of all and have extraordinary ideas that those more "sane" would never dare dream of.

You are so right Chandra, there are blessings in there too I guess.
Any other suggestions of music to add for the healing vibes needed?
thanks

Road rage rising might fit. It is about someone who cracks under the pressure of the mincing machine that is called earning a a living. Based on an experience of London's rush hour a million cars all going nowhere fast and what business is like. Being a country lad it was very surreal almost melancholy to be a part of. Like a slowly unwinding coiled spring. If it were to unwind too fast it would likely snap.
Loving Burnt Ice great song sublime solo. What you doing the end of August?
