4-TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNER RANDY MILLER PRODUCES GLOBAL POP ROCK GROUP VIA INTERNET
Focusing on groundbreaking concept, Miller and pop rock group World5 use ingenuity as an ally in creating new album.
HOUSTON,TX For a band whose members live in separate countries, one might find it impossible to create, produce, and engineer an album without all five members ever setting foot in the same room together before. However that is the concept behind the 5-piece group World 5 which consists of members from California, Germany, Sweden, and New Zealand.
"I'm excited to be working on the World5 project because it's such a fascinating way to work" states Miller during a mixing session for their upcoming single titled "You And I." "I think it's a groundbreaking new concept in how a band can create music as well as putting an album together even though everyone is scattered around the globe. Before the Internet and the development of new file sharing and communication technologies this band could not have existed, nor could I be mixing the album thousands of miles from where they live."
The band members from World5 have known and have performed with each other over the years in various projects, however various reasons have sent its members to reside in different parts of the world. As the members found a way to stay in touch through such modern technologies as Skype and Gmail they were able to plan and discuss concepts in real time. The idea of creating an album came about when they realized that even though they live in different places they still had the necessary band chemistry that allows them to take it to the next level from that of an experimental project.
"The whole band is very happy" states band leader and drummer Raimund Breitfeld about the production and having Miller handling the studio work. "I was particularly excited because I had worked with Randy on a previous project and he did such a fantastic job. It seemed like it would be a great fit for Randy to produce World5 and it turned out to be true."
Having been nominated 16 additional times for the Grammys, Miller (Burt Bacharach, Johnny Nash, Laura C) who focuses on music that might change the world agrees with Breitfeld. "The guys are great to work with and I think we all hear the music the same way. We share a lot of laughs and we just get each other. Maybe it's the sharing in the creation of art or maybe it's just the plain fact that music really does bring people together no matter where you are."
"It has been a great experience. states Breitfeld. "Randy gets what we are trying to do. It is amazing when you consider that we track individually in separate locations that when we get a mix from him how he brings out the best part of our performances.
It's as though we had all been together through the recording process."
The upcoming album GLOBAL EXPERIENCE is slated for spring 2012 release and will be distributed through Island Def Jam Recordings Digital Distribution.
The band is managed by Black Mountain Productions Inc., Henderson NV
