Independent?!
I've been noticing several commercial tracks on IAC Music by current or long-gone bands signed to major record labels, and presumably not uploaded by the artists themselves.
Quite apart from the breach of copyright, those tracks are squeezing out us struggling artists who don't have all the marketing clout of Sony Music and the like behind us.
For a fairly-new-bie I may be throwing my weight around a bit too much, but wouldn't it be nice if all the music here was really all by and uploaded by independent artists - a quick scan of the charts revealed The Darling Buds and Alphastates, both long gone bands, and tracks that are probably copyrighted by their record labels.
What do you all think? It's a shame if IAC Music is being used for music piracy.

Why do you presume that the tracks you referenced were not uploaded by the artist or management, having appropriate rights therein?
Also, being signed to a label doesn't take away independent spirit.
Finally, having to have a band be still performing as such, in order to be listed on the site, is an absurd, not to mention unworkable, construct,
Your comments, and the wording thereof, are offensive and inappropriate - and just plain wrong.
