How to promote your way up the new charts
Not saying you have to want that but if you do.
What's going to separate you is how many listeners you can bring in from outside the site. Join some music forums, make sure your facebook friends are acquainted with your music. If you're reasonably good you'll be able to go back and they'll listen to all your new tunes. If you're brave enough go into chatrooms and ask for feedback, you will probably learn as much from non-artist listeners as from other artists.

Hi Brody,
Bringing outside listeners is not only a benefit for the artist but also the site so that is a great idea.
Can you enlighten us as to what chat rooms there are for indy musician's to interact with listeners. I did not even know those still exist I have not been in a chat room in years.
TSC,
Ken

I don't know if there's any specifically attuned to that purpose but a friend of mine used to go into aol chat rooms with music titles and pitch to them. I think you'll find that civilians are more open in general to somebody making music so any public chatroom should work.

Hi Brody
good ideas---
we do try to post our page/ or tunes on FB but we always get Steve Aprils pic instead of our own, I know this should be on the issues page, but there may be others suffering the same fate
