I always thought MacArthur Park lyrics were phony tripping lyrics - like someone who never did acid trying to cash in on the psychedelic thing - plus never knew that about I Am The Walrus! interesting haha

I agree with Shoe City and I think there was a fashion for putting the most surreal lyrics together to sound as trippy as possible, not sure it happens so much these days
