I have some philosophy that might be of great help
Mixing music is a real chore....see you have to know the frequency of each wave
so if there's a large room you will be able to see how the mix is if you stand on the other side of the room.
There's also the decibels which stand for the strength of your note. some notes will be more domineering than others so you have to think that way too.
I was told that a good recording level is -4 decibels,it works just right for me.
