well, yea, make more music!
But learn something about it.
just the basics even...
learn to play a 1/4note, 1/8 note, 1/16 note and triplets.
then learn you major scale, minor scale and pentatonic.
play major 1,4,5 progressions and practice soloing over them, then play Minor 1.4.5 progressions and practice soloing over them..
It doesn't take that long and you'll be able to find the groovy key to play in for any simple progression.
If you want to just do a 1 chord jam to a beat try playing inside that chord, like playing the Amaj scale for an A chord..
then try playing the Gmaj scale over an A chord.
Try the same thing with 1,4,5 progressions, listen to what happens!!
(a 1.4.5 progression just mean using the 1st, 4th, and 5th of a scale. So in A it would be A,D,E....in G it would be G,C,D,)
Music is cool!
It's worth a little learning, it'll be a lot more rewarding.
