Let's all of us Artists get together for one simple day to both give back for all the IAC has given us and see what kind of effect we can all have if we work in numbers. Lets make a general list of easy, low time consumption and best possible percentage of target market actions we can all hit at once to promote IAC and our music. It can be sending an email to everyone in our address books or fan sites, mentions on blog sites for music/musicians, art & music schools etc....

I have been upset that because of my schedule and life with work and travel is so extreme, all inclusive and radically ever changing I will not be able to dedicate the time and attention to anything such as getting on the BIG 50 committee or regular position. I work a minimum of 12 hrs a day 5 days (6 days if shooting out of the country) a week. Anywhere between 64 to 74 hrs a week. Many days also include an hour of driving each way. Yeah I'm done. I just don't want anyone thinking I am lazy. But I have been thinking of how I could help and give back support. This will also be a way to show ourselves what effect we can actually have as a group together.

We make a master list of actions and outlets to pull attention and visitors/artists into the IAC.
We create ideas, banners etc and proper approach to the different actions on the list to best represent and attract in numbers to the site.
We organize and release everything on one single date (We will pick best for everyone) separately but together.
And then get the IAC to help us decipher the numbers based on averages for that day of the week so that we can get an idea of or effect.

First lets see if we have any interest in trying this out.

here is my suggestion

I have a friend who has excellent taste in music. I am trying to convince him to join IAC and start building and eventually promoting stations. If we could all get one friend who has a musical hook in some way whether thru art, writing or musical appreciation we could broaden the exposure, diversity and listener base.

I know this is a little different to what you are suggesting but count me in on your main idea to give back

Nigels that is exactly what I am talking about. We need all of our ideas and options to be voiced and written organized for everyone to see if they may use it. I am just speaking of all listeners, all artists from every discipline (They will enjoy the music but also see the brilliance of this site and its support from artist to artist), as well as musicians, bands and songwriters.

It is when you subtract the material element completely (Music) and look at the site from its build, intentions and the results or effects that are produced from the structured operating environment and atmosphere that you can see its brilliance and ability to work for and within almost anything as a positive, productive, informative, nurturing and inspirational place/space/school etc... Like a sort of protective compound or housing for full freedom and pure honest life creation, wisdom and interaction for art. The IAC needs to be given every opportunity to succeed at the largest level possible. I feel it has a chance to be a catalyst for a huge change in the thought process for creating creation and success from a positive caring soulful infusion of truth and humanity. All we have to do is accept the above to be the truth and possible. And then realize we have a responsibility to fuel its travel until it will prove itself by existing on its own.

It is a billion times harder to explain than it is to just do. Just like the absolute and sincere delivery of the truth always come out and is spoken so effortlessly and without any thought. I really want to know if this really carries the strength and effect I believe. No matter what happens. At the very least we will have a proper first hand proved result and answer to my theory. Well, it's the theory of the unspoken theory of the IAC as well. Do it just to see what happens.

I really wish I could for once find the ability to use 5% of the words with the same exact message.

I'm in. Not sure what I can do but point people I meet along the way to IAC Promoters, Artists and people at work and gigs. I was kinda sad too, that I could not try and be involved in the BIG 50 committee... it just wouldn't make sense, with WORK (day Job) and Artfest Music Work, and the band, and songwriting/networking/practice/gigging/promoting; and somehow making time for my family and occasional rest... I'd be bitin' off more than I could chew.

So I'm just prayin' folks like YOU Satro& PopiKoK, are a part of this committee. So that the freedom of expression and ideas is broad-minded enough to include music & musicians on the edge, as it were.

As far as banners & logos for websites it's easy enough to pull from the IAC site itself. What we really need is MORE people like yourself, who have access to the entertainment industry, a fair degree of clout and probably the potential for FINANCIAL backing, to lead the way. And get somebody with some respect in the GREATER music community to help our site get SEEN out there. Maybe an Interview on TV, or the MTV ideas that SLIMDOG had awhile back. Something with larger viewer/listener capabilities to FUNNEL more of the counterculture over this way.

I believe in giving as much as you can, but DEFINITELY giving back to those who've helped you along the way. I've got almost no clout right now, but if I ever do gain a much broader listener base, and sphere of influence, I'll be funnelling people to IAC left and right! If it's still around at that time. SIGH.

-one more of the stretched to the limit musicians out there, joining your ramble

Hello,
This sounds like an excellent idea to me. I have been trying to funnel more bands to IAC for a little while now with a little bit of success. I have created a myspace for my IAC radio station Bloody Mayhem (metal) and my musician link Philly Music (rock, metal, jazz, blues, ambient). I could also post from my two band sites (one rock, one metal) as well as my personal myspace.
All existential ramifications aside it just sounds like a good idea and an excellent way for the music to be heard which is what this is all about right?
I'm a bit busy myself with a day job and numerous other projects and don't check the pipeline as often as I'd like. please keep me posted. Thanks
