IMP late night club
I just finished Carly Simon's book, read for several hours. What an elaborate autobio it was. Parts of it made me question my own life.

What made you question your life? Can you give an example? Your not giving much details.

oh the way she seemed to fixate on things, make her life all about those things. I thought to myself I need to be a bit freer, maybe i'd be happier.

I'm up late myself...
just put out a song I wrote with my Dad,
"Darling My Memory" by American Lesley Jane
I'm exhausted, it's five a.m.
Night Night....

FT ~ It's good that you are having these insights and becoming more self aware.
I admire the ability to do that. I'm a much happier person since I stopped fixating on things. Brooding is an obstacle to creativity. In "Bridge Of Spies" the Hanks character asks the spy "are you worried?" and the spy asks "would it help?" I stopped worrying and started to love my art regardless of whatever people may think of it. Like Ricky Nelson sang: "You can't please everyone, so you just have to please yourself."

I would add that the better I succeed at not obsessing on things, the less seriously I take myself - which really makes music (and everything else, actually) way more fun Such a relief to remind myself that hardly anything is that important. It all changes every second anyway.

Thanks, that was off my first CD. My favorite part of that is the little instrumental at the end.

Whoa. Off your first CD? Get outa here. Really?
Sounds Fresh, man, like you just did it. I actually thought you'd just did that.
Yeah the guitar conversation at the end is very innovative, I was impressed.
I am impressed. You knew what you're doing a heluva lot earlier in time than I did.

I did actually think up one for coffee.
Coffee.
Making the best of a badly battered brain.
I'll let you know if I think of one for IMP.
There is as I said, the mention in a coming song...
And actually the boys are trying to come up with a whole actual
song which could be sampled and double as a jingle....
we're not new to radio promotion work, at least John and I aren't.
It's a new one on George, but he's a team player.
And this is personal, We're All Indie People Now.
Indie Rocks. Mainstream Sucks Dogs.
There, bit rough, but also ready.

I'm having a rough patch in my life right now. Working hard in my real time business, can't find things that move me positively. Too distracted to get rolling on things I care about. I'm susceptible to users and can't seem to muster up patience with other things. Meanwhile the world seems to be coming off its axis. Came to the IMP late night club to blow off some steam but it didn't seem to help. My best hope is that I can put together some hours of sleep, to start fresh again tomorrow.

I had a long discussion tonight with a friend. This person at the present time has expressed some negativity about the site, deeply hopes I give it up because well, it consumes me, and my overall mission is hard, if not impossible. I lash out at the negativity a lot lately, if you're one of those people who crossed me, I apologize. I'm not a strong enough person at least at this current phase of my life to accept adversity graciously let's just say. I'm trying to be more open and that seems to be helping my overall mental state but it doesn't stop one from hitting walls. I suppose some see our realm as a bunch of old folks at hunting camp or something. To me though, I think there's a lot of learning and growth that can happen here, unlike a lot of the shallow corners of the web. I'm not sure IMP's potential can be put in terms that have been defined by other sites, I think there are new places at the bottom of the sea and all around that are yet to be discovered, imagined, as adult artists on the web. We may approach our destiny before we even understand where we're landing. There will always be naysayers whose perspective reduces dreams to nothingness, sturdy buildings to total rubble - but I've got my perspective too, it's just as real to me.

Yeah, I'm so glad I listened to all the naysayers in my life, they bring such joy.
Own your own shit. Wanna be negative, fine, you will beget negativity.
I struggle, we all struggle, the struggle is fucking real.
One of my favorite commentaries begin with, 'get real,..'
Another one of my favorite commentaries, 'fuck em if they can't take a joke'
but really, may all time favorite, "fuck you" (with a smile a smile of course)
At the end of the day, who are we trying to impress, really?
I care about what people think when I am not 100%. I care too much sometimes, and thank christ it is fleeting, because the last thing I need is strings attached to my limbs and the need for someone to pull them.
I have my theories about this site, but it doesn't change what it IS.
The truth is, it is here and it is appreciated by those who appreciate it and that is right now. Yesterday, and tomorrow have ZERO to do with this moment right now.
Right now, you can look around and appreciate what you work for.
Right now is the moment we live for.
Our whole lives have lead up to THIS moment, right now.
FU bitch haha

This will probably just add to the confusion but back in 2002-2003 I started an artist rights org called Future Unity. FU. It was done with a lot of humor and brazenness, our symbol was of course flipping the bird.
The themesong right now is still on my page.
FU will live forever.

so I am making a new video tonight on my major modes sliding guitar chart. I am fabricating a duplicate of my invention that helps guitarists construct fingering strategies on their fretboard.
need help with your ionian, dorian, mixolydian, aeolian, phrygian, lydian, and locrian scale modes?
fear not, I am here to save the fucking day.
..stay tuned
