Rust Never Sleeps
I saw the movie again last night, this was the soundtrack of my youth. I can't believe how vital Neil Young was at this time, have seen it many times but somehow I forgot.

I love the live version from that of

sounds like the title of a johnny cash song.
These wounds of mine are oh so deep.
In my mind is a rust that never sleeps.

Jesus.
Ken are you really that young?
And here I was thinkin' maybe you were around my age.
Surprising to me it is, you aren't familiar with the song?
"Hey Hey, My My....
Rock N Roll Will Never Die...
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away....
My My, Hey Hey..."
something like that...
actually if I recall correctly
Neil Young had two versions of that
on that landmark of a live album,
electric band version,
and an acoustic version as well...
but you could fashion
a Johnny Cash-ish thing,
out of the words,
and I'm handing you this gift-wrapped Ken,
so if you don't use it, I may...

Tell you what, Ken....
Feel free, to make your own vision, if you wish to,
of that title, I just pulled out of thin air, and a paraphrasing
of your entry about it sounding like Johnny Cash....
I think I may hit that too...
it's okay, we can both have a song of the same title...
actually I don't even think it would be the first time, would it.

I know the Neil Young song you mentioned I'm not that young.
The title of it just caught me a funny way at the time and it reminded me of a title like johnny cash would write.
these troubled times
they play for keeps
in my mind
grows a rust that never sleeps

Well Ken.
There's no law I know of,
that says you can't have two songs with the same title.
And we both know that. As we both have a song 'Mercury Rising'.
So, why not do that song, if you hear it?
That's what I do, if I hear a song, I usually have to go and write it,
then make a record of it, or it'll never leave me alone.
Once it's DONE, I can forget it and move on to the next thing.
Scott.
I Have A Dream That Never Wakes Up.
Oh that's Real Good.
You should write it.
E me if you want help with it, Buddy.

I might have to write it this one down but mine is called the title of the blog "rust that never sleeps"
Right now I already have 3 other songs I am working on and the cover I am working on and another venture so this one might get lost in the dessert and never written like a lot of song ideas I have that have been lost to dust and time.
many songs share the same title so there is no issue with that anyway.
