confessions of a man who may have a plan
so anyway, it's starting to look like I might be on the verge of making some connections after all this time. I was preparing a batch of my songs to play some people who could conceivably open some major doors for me. Sadly i concluded a whole bunch of them (the songs), iike too many, heh are good enough. I pictured some people I know if they were privy to all this, cringing. Then I had another thought. Pictured these people with means hearing one song after another of mine saying where the hell have you been and me saying to them .. you aren't familiar with the real indies, are you? and me linking them to some of my stations of faves at IMP and they, like I, conclude my god, all these songwriters in the midst of the giant mainstream dryspell that has gone on many years. and it occurred to me, at IMP we sort of have organized custody for lack of a better term over what could only properly be called the indie empire. Everyone, even people who should fucking know better because they've been in the middle of it raise their eyebrows at me when I say indie music kicks the shit out of the mainstream. If it were proven to be true, all those people are just gonna have to kiss my doodyhole. because I called it. I'm the one that's been curating for years now and I'm the guy who can put the cards on the table when called upon. I'm the second class citizen that gets banned, laughed at, what have you, and I have accepted this like it was my calling. but I just kept on strivin, and what are ya gonna say when the worm turns? Ya better think hard about that one, you better start thinkin' about it soon.

What will I say "when the worm turns" Congratulations.
We all carry the same torch. When one of us is more or less successful it can reflect on indies as a whole. Unfortunately the world applies group think mentality rather than give individual merit but I am not part of that world.
For anyone who's trail have been full of swords, tears, and toil I am right there with you and I will be the first to congratulate you on getting recognized for your achievements.
Anything less is uncivilized and petty.

Ken

That was directed at my personal naysayers, that part.
hey Ken, how come you never picked a personal symbol. I ask cause i built that page. Did you know if you click on the symbol in the page of choices, it names and describes what the symbol means?
