I'm a man without a country right now.
Last night Mitch McConnell told Elizabeth Warren to sit down as she was reading a note from MLK's widow in regards to the confirmation of Jeff Sesssions as head of justice. This was the last straw for me and the deeply flawed USA political system. I see America as an utter joke right now and i am embarrassed to live here. I want to become a Canadian. Unfortunately my family is not having that so I'm stuck. I just wanted to announce officially that I am not an American citizen anymore, I'm done. I will not be standing for the Star Spangled Banner again, in fact it repulses me.

Mitch McConnell and the rest of the bought and paid for Republicans do not represent this country. They have been trying to undermine the laws of our country for decades now. I don't know why they aren't being called what they actually are - traitors. They're dangerously close to succeeding at this point which is why I'll never give up my country to them, especially not now. I'm not ashamed. I'm proud of Elizabeth Warren and I feel that, even though it looks bad now, we can stand up to these cowards and take our country back. I hope you'll change your mind FT .. we sure need every musician we have to counter these hateful words and actions that they are puking into the atmosphere. a true patriot does not give up on their country, or the people. you have a tradition and a wonderful anthem that reflects great values and tells the story of what your people had to go through to achieve independence. Sure sometimes we get fed up with the people who get elected and who make poor choices. Trump is only there not because people really like him as a person, but they wanted change, it basically for the most part had nothing to do with him or his philosophy from my perspective it had everything to do with change, we went through the same thing here, 10 years of conservatives was enough and then Trudeau got in, with his charming handsome self and big hair and smile, how far will that take him, not far, there already are grumblings after 18 months of him and his party.
I did not like the result of having Trudeau get elected here in Canada,, but accepted it, the people spoke and it is what it is. cant give up on your country just because you dont like the leader, the country of the USA is a wonderful place. with its foibles and shortcomings, as is here.
Things work out in spite of the political climate, situations etc . now if you dont like what you got then raise a little hell!!!!

I stopped standing for the anthem a while back when Kaepernick started his protest. I will not renounce my citizewnship as there was too much blood spilled by my people to just throw away spomething that they deemed so important that they endured enslavement, Jim Crow and so many other racist actions that held us back. Why do they hate it so much? The answer is that someone came along and actually did something that the rest of them talked about doing for 40 years bnut never did anything. Because, before they do anything they have to have investigative commisions and all that sort and spend a few million bucks just to get some pertinent ideas. Then they will send it all through the governments revolving doors and watch it die just like they did for 40 years. But someone comes along and actually does something and they get castigated and lied about. Now, you folks are all upset because we won't just lay down and let Trump fuck us in the butt. But what did your folks do to Obama? How was he treated on Capitol Hill? He was treated like shit. They disrespected him every chance they got and they fought him every step of the way. Why shouldn't we do the same thing to Trump? Why should he get a pass? We have not forgotten the public displays of disrespect to a sitting president that the Repubs did. I believe that muslims are just as peaceful or moreso than Christians and the whole terrorist threat is a bundle of bs, they should be far more worried about the proliferation of guns in the US.
