Trump is going down and it ain't gonna be pretty.
It's sort of a relief that the country will survive this fiasco.

well, not really trying to take a position in this political argument,
but I will say two things. 1. in the word of Yogi Berra, it ain't over till it's over,
and putting the cart ahead of the horse is counting chickens before they hatch...
2. one thing seems pretty certain,
if the 'replacement' for the ACA is Caca,
and suddenly millions of Americans are screwed,
that will probably not bode well for the Republican Party.
that's a kind of easy math no brainer.

I think the question is how deep the rabbit hole goes? From the way it looks we won't like the answer.
In the case of the mythical hydra from the series the shield you cut off one head and three grow back in its place " all hail hydra" by the way they stole this from the GI Joe comics from long ago, shame shame.
Anyway does it even matter if it goes down really? I mean this entire spectacle is a debacle and down right pathetic.
If it does go down are we even better off? what takes its place?
Yet another serpent of the same kind that supported the same ideas.

Oh I hear you Ken.
You're right, I think, I avoided the political angle of the argument,
just to make the point, that speculation and ultimate tabulation
are not the same thing,
and that, if you vote for people who turn around and screw you,
odds are, maybe, you will not vote for them again.
I wasn't going for a Pulitzer, just, making those two points, no more no less.

Meanwhile,
the saga goes on...
they didn't wiretap Trump, except when they did, incidentally,
which was incidental, and they didn't find out
anything about Russia or Russians,
but they didn't wiretap Trump, except when they did.
Ken you're right,
the whole magilla is fakafta,
and, this, will probably be why God blows us all to Kingdom Come.
God has His own Nuke,
it's called "The Sun".
If that puppy pops, it's night night.
Certainly, the President is presently dealing with some complicated stuff.
I've even offered to come in and help sort stuff out.
He has yet to get back to me on that. Que Sera Sera...

Actually I think we kind of made the same point to an extent.
That fact almost scares me.
The point we both sort of made was that yes it may go down or it may not but if it does are we really better off than before? I think the answer to that is questionable at best.
If a serpent of the same stripes and same poison takes place of the first serpent have you made progress? or have we simply traded one snake for another?
In this case I think that answer is a snake for a snake rather than we actually gain any kind of ground.

Well Ken, didn't you just cut to the chase.
Yeah, we're probably f---ed. It's all a snake. Eating its own tail.

Yes ALJ I agree,
In this case the depth of the rabbit hole may go to the center of the earth and in this rabbit hole there is one snake after another.
In this case as you said we are truly F'd it may be the first time in history that this is actually true.
We all know that the one in change only goes with ass clowns who follow his same course and never goes with anyone that disagrees so when when and if we replace this snake the entire rest of the rabbit hole is filled with the same kind of snake so what did we gain?
The answer is.
....
....
...
wait for it .....
....
....
....
another snake.

The answer is yes we're better off because there's a pretty fair chance a scumbag like the jackal won't ever be elected president again after this fiasco.

Well FT I hope you are right but as one saying goes a fool and his money are soon parted and another saying goes history does tend to repeat itself.
I hope that you are right that this could set an example for future "scumbags" as you put it but I fear that it will only be a matter of time for for a "scumbag" with a different flavor of snake oil fools america again.
Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me but America has been fooled for so long we have forgotten how not to be one anymore.

Let the chips fall where they may. It's all a crap shoot. Nothing to be optimistic about. This shit runs deep and dirty. The truth will come out eventually about the election. But will anyone even care? By then the ship may be sunk and we will all be scrambling to stay afloat. Were fucked! In case you didn't get my drift. Hold on tight to whatever you can grab. It's going to be a long and tumultuous ride filled with alternative truths and what not. Lord Help Us Please!

I like Kens thing about the Hydra -Seems obviously true to me..
Big oligarch corporate money already is -and will - ruthlessly look after its own interests n keep expanding its influence n power round the globe whoever's in , squeezing the throat of democracy n freedom ever tighter...
They've brought nearly everything and have all bases covered..
Think its incredibly naive to think they'd ever allow this situation to change..

As the powers get more brash and single-minded, the opposition grows more articulate. The way the ebb and flo works is that you often need a worst case scenario to bring back the determined nature of those with good intentions.

Remember that saying,
'the best of times, the worst of times'... ?
Who knows... what may be possible...
you don't get what I'm saying?
I'm saying, for some damned reason,
it seems that in exactly those moments things seem absolutely dire
and thoroughly impossible,
this is the moments in which sometimes inspiration can occur...
I guess what I'm saying is, if you still Can dream,
well then Dream Big.
|
|
|
3/24/2017 10:57:36 AM
...well because I myself, don't quite know how to Dream anymore...
and, regardless of how things go politically,
'cause I can't even make a guess at this point, quite honestly,
don't let the end of the world
keep you from writing and recording a great song.
Remember what your thing is, it's music, do it.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
