Going in to the studio to record 2 songs next month.
Here are a couple of not-yet-ready-for-primetime rehearsal recordings that I'll share with you all. Because I like you.
"If You Knew"
A country 2-step with some lyrics that I am really proud of.
"This Ain't No Race"
A bouncy, jaunty jazz-pop White Album-era McCartney kind of thing.
Studio time is scheduled for 9/24. Should have the finished recordings mixed and up sometime around the end of October. Hopefully sooner.

I turned in a demo for an guitar instrumental to my Negative Tendencies bandmates, and am working on a cover song also. However our drummer/producer went in the hospital for a heart operation so he will be out of commission for awhile.
I wrote a blues song 3 weeks ago I may work on. Also I had this one line of a song sitting around for 10 years and finally finished that, it's just going to be a simple voice and guitar arrangement so that will probably be the next thing I upload.

Working with Duane on a blues tune right now and the sax man who did stuff on my jazz cd has just finished the horn sections and thats done.
Also finished up a great tune with Duane Flock and Paul Wainwright (sax) and my brother Ted. doing percussion, also he is handling the engineering production mixing and mastering.. its a killa tune. instrumental pop. think I will send it off to DMDS and radiosubmit. has potential to do well there and on CBC radio Canada
Bunch of cool ambient piano tunes see what happens there.

My Stargazer release is coming out Sept 15 10 songs to cdbaby and spotify
have a bunch of tunes lined up over the next while into the new year

Hey Todd,
I love both those songs when you originally did them as a demo.
I don't recall the first one being country did you change that?
I'm thinking about doing another cover or a fairly new group called thrice the song is black honey but I don't know if I am talented enough to do it. I started doing a cover of my name is human by highly suspect but never finished it.
I have a couple other TSC creations in rough draft but due to life circumstances I barely pick up my guitar anymore and have not played consistently in months.
I am looking forward to hearing the final versions of Todd's songs.

I am in the middle of working on three new songs. One is a rousing Hip-Hop/Dance song called "Turn This Mothafunka Out". It has lots of dance implications with some signature trap/rap shit thrown in for extra fun. Expected Completion Date: Tomorrow. I am also working on a Pop/dance song called "No Cash No Romance". Expected Completion date: Today and a latin/pop song call "Smell The Love". This is a reworking of a previous song I wrote while on vacation in Cabo a few years back. Expected Completion Date: Sunday. In addition to this I am putting the final touches on my new Funk CD coming out soon.
