people who give up on life and music
Ever know anybody like that? Someone who had great talent but because of either impending age or just a jaded personality just stop firing their creative cylinder? I know a few people like that and it's like I'd do anything to save them but I just don't have any pull with them to do so.
it's really sad. I personally refuse to age no matter what illness or whatever shit befalls me.

F T I think it's really sad that you can't imagine life without music ! When music is all you have to make you happy you are missing so much more that life has to offer.
I tell people to get out more, enjoy nature, find new hobbies, spend more quality time with family, learn and discover new things... but my suggestions go over heads that are buried deep or stuck in a self consuming quagmire.
Music is no great loss to folk who take it less seriously, so don't mourn for the musically bereaved, it's not your responsibility.

FT, you are to be admired and commended for your belief in yourself and aiming to achieve your goals and aspirations no matter the challenges and what life may throw at you. Even more amazing is your hope to continue to have an attitude of perseverance and dedication to hold fast to your dreams!
The other aspect here is your wish for those you know who have such amazing gifts and talents and who are fantastic incredible musicians and people who have tremendous abilities, yet it seems the struggle for them is giving up on the spirit of creativity. I like what you stated, it is so true, you said " Someone who had great talent but because of either impending age or just a jaded personality just stop firing their creative cylinder?"
It is our responsibility as creators of the art of music is not to give up! Yet we all are up against the wall so to speak, doing the best that we can in trying to improve our gifts and talents and continue to develop ourselves to the best of what we have been given.
Carry on your good works, you are an incredible example of one who is dedicated, committed and focused on building your catalog and improving your craft
Cheers and thanks for your continued support of us artists here at IMPNATION

Muse maybe I didn't express myself properly there. I wasn't really referring to a push to do music or else, I was more referring to a general relinquishment of any enthusiasm for a positive vantage point re: living itself. I could survive fine without music because I could submerge myself in writing, sports, hell at one point in my life i wanted to be a film critic, I could always find projects of many kinds that would provide me with the joie de vivre.
