our new artists are mighty shy these days, aren't they?
Very few of them are brave enough to partake in the pipeline. Maybe they think we're all weird. Or maybe they're just sceered. Sure, some of us bite, but we ain't poisonous.

The thing is Raandy, we think it's all been said before many times or we already know what the answers are. The kind of artist who comes onto the Pipeline to express inner stirrings or relate personal anecdotes OR the person with outspoken, alternative opinions... well they are rare, so yes, most of us are shy or scared that we'll say something stupid or obvious OR upset and annoy someone.
I'm not shy or scared and I'd like to say you're a moaning old sidewinder whose music skills are probably limited and who shouldn't be hanging around this forum anyway. But of course I wouldn't want to say that in public :)

I was going to post a well thought out meaningful reply, but I'm shy, and not a (new) artist.
Post some irresistible clickbait topics Raandy and watch the replies flow :)

One of the things that I have encountered over the years is that many people do not write very well. Because of this they are shy about getting involved with forums as their writing skills or lack there of become glaringly apparent. Then there are the "looky loos" who just like to stop by and read stuff but don't have much to input. Then, of course there are those who are shy and scared to participate as they don't want to be literally jumped on by others who are literally aggressive. I suspect that if we keep the Pipeline mostly positive, informative and welcoming to interaction, more people will get involved. But the current amount of participation is a great improvement over what it was like a year ago. This place was practically a ghost town then. So, I think we should celebrate the progress and keep encouraging more folks to get involved in the Pipeline.

I'm not an artist but when I visit here I always read the threads [near the top at least] sometimes the subject matter is beyond me, like politics and technical stuff but good old human experience comment I would always add my 2c
