Todd is correct in asking where is punk? A list of eras would not be complete without Ramones, Sex Pistols, New York Dolls, Lou Reed/Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop,
etc. Grunge and Punk are cousins but not brothers!

that was a tough call, for sure, but you know I love music videos - Duran Duran, and Michael Jackson, Madonna, Tears for Fears,.. such rich pop culture,.. plus Nirvana would not have made In Utero without MTV success.
there was hairbands, and sprite commercials, the real world,.. of course we are talking the era right before all that crap though.

I always think of Billy Idol and Men at Work, also Pearl Jam. If I had never seen a single Madonna video I'd be happy. heh
